Why don't the members of the imperial family of Japan have a surname?
Shouldn't their surname be Yamato?
Why don't the members of the imperial family of Japan have a surname?
Shouldn't their surname be Yamato?
Sopa de Makako
All Japanese know the royal family.
Therefore the family doesn't need to have family name.
Family name was the thing that Emperor gave to his servants in Japan.
This rings true. Is this real?
Wait why is Prince Takeru is called "Yamato Takeru" then?
So what does it say on their birth certificate, just a singular name?
Our royal family doesn't have a surname either, they're just "x of Norway". Maybe it's the same principle?
Yamto is the old name of Japan.
So Yamto Takeru is same as Japan Takeru.
the imperial family is the yamato race
孫desu
>Yamto
Yamato
Literal dog names
thank god we got rid of the last ottoman generation, they were a disgrace to their ancestors and they were traitors. They should pray to their god that ATATVRK didnt decide to hang them for treason
Japanese calls just "Tennou" (Emperor).
incredibly based
So the emperor doesn't actually have their own name?
>Why don't the members of the imperial family of Japan have a surname?
Is it not "Emperur"?
Yes, glorious countries take the way.
He has his name "Naruhito".
Hirohito, Akihito, Naruhito

they shouldn't have deposed the shogun, shameful display
The Shogun seized and weilded power through diplomatic ties and military strength. If the Emperor was able to depose the Shogunate, then the Shogunate was no longer strong enough to rule, anyway.
they only did it with angl*id support
So essentially the Emperor was able to wield diplomatic ties and military might better than the Shogun could. Again, means the Shogun was no longer capable.
That's what I said in OP. The "Yamato" before his name, Takeru, is used as a surname.
>japan named their emperor after a manga character
OH NO NO NO
You cannot really compare Ottomans to Japanese dynasty. Japanese dynasty has been around like 2600 years.
Family name is at first in the East Asia.
Beyond based
Japans needs their own Ataturk (Wafu, maybe? As in 和父)
That's what I said.
That's what he is saying
He is asking why the emperor isn't called ''Yamato Naruhito''
