This because the forests were so dense and unforgiving. The closest forest left in Europe to those ancient primeval forests is Bialowieza-Forest in Poland, it gives you an idea of how wild and unforgiving that environment was.

I probably will end up dead since most of the time i spend in underwear and flipflops. And even surviving all the fauna of the old world (100AD Europe still had lions), i don't know any of the languages used there.

If for some reason, i did not just die, It would be cool to analyze the cultures and proper documenting it. Maybe introduce technology that would change the balance of power and help to rewrite history.

Nope the reason they fear humans now is because of guns. There are medieval reports of packs of wolves massacring whole villages, those fuckers use to be the stuff out of nightmares but now they know to avoid us.
