Depends where. Anywhere outside the main cities are just churches, gas stations, and convenience stores.
Evangelists hold a lot of power but a lot of people in the city really only go to church during the major holidays (Christmas, Easter). The ones that are religious have a strong religiosity and are very vocal about it. Minorities are more likely to be religious too.
Most candidates at every level have to be some degree of religious to succeed too.

I don't know a single candidate who would be an atheist.

When I was in the navy, everyone in the wardroom always gave a quick prayer before eating a meal. Never seen that anywhere else before
