>I don't care that you're exposing yourself to a deadly virus and are putting your family, friends, and everyone you come in contact with in danger, I need my yacht wagie!
>Yeah unemployment pays better than your job did before, but you need to work now!!!
I thought the whole reason we locked down was to stop people from spreading the disease. I guess profits matter more!
McDonald's >applied myself to work there for a few hours a week >got a response, agreed to meeting >didn't appear >REEEEEE YOU'LL NEVER EVER GET AN OFFER HERE Why are they so full of themselves?
Ethan Perry
fucking hell, the US is brutal isnt it. the jews are forcing the government to whip the wagies into servitude
Evan Watson
>scared of this global pandemic with a gorillian kills? TAKE HIS UNEMPLOYMENT! GIVE IT TO JANICE!
Ryan Mitchell
Mcdonald's is serious business, user! lolololol
Ryan Gutierrez
Unemployment paying more is the craziest part. The US sounds like a shithole to live in. I've visited it briefly & that was my impression, matched perfectly with the expectation. Pockets of stupidly high wealth with a vast sea of ugliness & greed. People reminded me of a third world country, life is dirt cheap & everyone will fuck each other over & think its just being "smart". Reminded me of Chinks in a weird way desu, just absolutely no regard for anything beyond petty materialism.
Nathaniel Harris
Been sitting at home crypto trading since this started. Work as a senior engineering consultant. Still on full pay for 2-3hrs laptop work a day. Earning $2000 per week. Sending little near minimum wagies into high risk covid hospitals. They call me up asking if they really have to go into the Covid wards. "If you want to keep your job you do"

It's under a period of transition The suburbs are not the utopias they once were in the 50s-80s and are slowly being eroded by minorities and lower class people moving into them and the cities are slowly being re-gentrified back into good shape by young people, but they've been shit for at least 50 years All that's left inbetween is that carpet of weird roadside commercial areas like you see off every highway exit, with the gas stations, McDonald's, Wendy's etc Sadly I gather that that is what most people see of America
But really America is mostly like Ohio, A couple of huge cities in between an endless sprawling farmland crossed through by highways and mediated only by the human beehives of housing developments on the outskirts of said cities
Everywhere along the roads, except maybe the west which is just empty, feels as though it's been settled by people but only just barely, like the construction crew came through -once- to build a road next to a farmer's land who is the only inhabitant for miles but owns all the land surrounding his little single family ranch house
It can be stifling since it feels like you can go out into the wilderness, but you're always 'technically' trespassing on some other guy's property that he never uses We desperately need some "greenbelt" shit here, imo
People are too spooked desu. I work part time as a glorified garbage guy in a hospital and have been in contact with corona garbage for weeks now. Still don't have the 'rona and neither do any of my friends and family who I've been in contact with.
Owen Moore
I'll start looking for work soon. I'm just going to make my required job searches only the best jobs at first.
Elijah Torres
I worked at a hotel. I probably won't be back to work in the month at least. Nobody is going to fucking travel anywhere now
Daniel Rogers
I'll be sure and spit on your burger and not wash my hands all day. Enjoy your meal sir.
I mean eventually people need to get the virus. We only shut down to flatten the curve
Luis Williams
I'm furloughed and getting unemployment which pays more than my job. I want to stay on unemployment. My job sent out an email saying they were tentatively going to try to open on June 15th but they may be calling back people individually to come back before that. If we refuse to come back we would lose our gibs. My question is, if I change my phone number and avoid all contact with them can I just claim they never contacted me to come back and keep getting gibs
Carson Barnes
>people who make 50k a year get their full salary while sitting at home on their asses doing nothing >millions of grocery store, pharmacy, and service industry workers are getting paid close to minimum wage while working in a pandemic
Real waggies are pathetic faggots. Yeah the virus is sooo deadly, keep playing that clearly disproven bullshit. If you're not 65 or older you're not dying from the coronavirus, and if you're 65 or older you're probably dying from any virus. Scared of going back to work? Imagine being not incompetent for a change and having an actual career which has lead you to leadership and thus makes you expected to work through all of it to keep your operation running. I haven't had a day off in all of this and among us non-pussies there's more annoyance over wearing masks than there is fear of the virus.
Liam Gutierrez
>people need to get the virus >shut down to stop people from getting the virus You sound retarded.
Tyler Carter
ragie wagie stomps his feet ragie wagie can't be neet
Lucas Parker
Imagine unironically being an “essential” worker LMAO. I got the best of both worlds. Reduced to part time and full unemployment. I get 4K a month from unemployment plus half my normal pay. I came out on top.
Jack Brown
>coronavirus >deadly It made since to be scared a few months ago, but now we know it's a flu. Death rate is
Lincoln Morgan
yeah i don't get full unemployment benefits since i had a part time job, but i still get the pandemic unemployment assistance since my part time job was at a theater (not a movie theater but a concert venue).
no way they're going to be having shows anytime soon. even if people go back to work gatherings of 100 people or more are going to banned for months i assume.
Jack Taylor
i like chainlink
Jason Foster
Doubt it. They'll immediately contact the state after your first missed phone call and pull your unemployment.
Blake Roberts
i know a 33 year old that died with no preexisting conditons.
so yeah you're most likely not dying, but do you really want to chance that you won't be that 1 person in 1000 that dies form this shit? i sure as fuck don't.
David Jackson
>implying the uk and most of europe as a whole aren’t in a worse state
>Republican controlled state actively works against the interests of its people Color me shocked.
Connor Scott
It's more like 1 in 100,000 or 1 in 1,000,000. Your odds are higher dying on your drive to work.
Caleb Wood
I would honestly prefer returning to work however they’re trying to make us wear mask 40 hours a week even though during the last month we didn’t need to when the virus was “in full effect”. I am physically incapable of wearing the damn thing more than 15 minutes so I’m being forced into short term disability instead of unemployment. It’s all bullshit.
Jason Price
yeah no, everything i've seen says the rate for under 50 is around 0.1%. about 1 in 1000.
maybe non symptomatic cases raise that to 1 in 5k or 10k but you're pulling those 1 in 100,000 or 1 in a million numbers straight out of your ass.
Nathan Allen
I mean if you get fired, then you can still collect unemployment as long as you "seek" another job.
Jacob Russell
Agree that masks are for pussies, but fuck working man.
Noah Hughes
Yeah but those include everyone, including the morbidly obese and dude with half a lung. If you're healthy with no preexisting conditions there's a lot of worse things to be afraid of.
I'm just worried there's going to be some crazy incubation period like aids or something and we all die in ten years. But not much you can do about it. We're all going to get it at some point.
Jeremiah Collins
no because they could say you refused work in which case it stops
Parker Bailey
That's in a no fault termination. If his reason for getting fired is refusal to go to work his employer doesn't have to pay him unemployment.
Adam Bailey
I was worried about that. Well in that case I wonder if I could string them along for a few extra weeks and say I'm coming back in but I'm out of town taking care of a sick family member or some shit and I can't return for a little while longer. The longer I can be on the teet the better
Bentley Thompson
At least in Europe some countries have actual industries and production that is wanted and desired throughout the world. The USA has become a nation of serving drinks to eachother and dress and style eachothers hair. The multinationals operate in a different realm of existance, completely apart from the USA as a country. So yeah, USA is a complete service to self nation whose only thing left is the threat of war.
Elijah Reed
>I want to milk the panic and remain in self-imposed imprisonment while the economy tanks because of a flu.
Are you depressed? Do you have no one relying on you?
Jeremiah Davis
>At least in Europe some countries have actual industries and production that is wanted and desired throughout the world. Name five
Dylan Cooper
>deadly
Oliver Myers
at least 75% of our jobs here are completely made up and unnecessary. the virus proves it. all upper management jobs are just vanity titles, they don't do anything but send emails back and forth that none of them actually read and drink coffee. Other than that you have a bunch of 3am cookie deliveries and gimmicky shit that contributes nothing to society
Cooper King
Do Americans really
Caleb Wood
It's probably closer to 20% and most of that is government work. Most paper pushers were purged in 2008.
Totally agree. But that is similar throughout the western world I believe. I'm from Germany and during the lockdown I got that feeling as well. Way more than 1 out of 2 occupations could be scrapped and still nothing would collapse. I estimate that more than 60% of all jobs are nothing but a waste of time, energy and resources.
