Japan is doing better than we are all things considered.
People shit on their stocks but it's barely worse than the UK's in the last 20 years.
Investing in the Nikkei 225 20 years ago would bring you a 6% real return (considering inflation) over those 20 years with dividends reinvested
Doing the same with the FTSE 100 would bring you an 8% return in 20 years.
Yet in that same time Britain has decided to strike the final blow to any hope of its own ethnic continuity, while Japan is still almost entirely homogeneous. The culture of the latter remains at this point far superior.
For 0.08% additional ROI each year for 20 years? That's not sacrificing my ancestry for.
Of course there are problems, but they are exaggerated.
