yeah i've been doing grubhub during the pandemic making $30 an hour and i can say with certainty most restaurants don't have their doors locked. some of them want you to call them and they bring the food out or they have a table set up outside. mostly the asian ones are the ones that won't let you come inside. must be a cultural thing.

Based. My job gives me rules like "check everyone's ID", not a server but in the same line of cumbersome rules, and I just blow them off and handle every situation like a human with a soul. I'm in sales and am top 5 in my half of the US though so they don't care.

That guy was a retard but so were you, you can't do anything about shit customers they will always exist, but you could have handled the situation better, first notice and ask him earlier, if he is a dick about it, apologise and proceed to give him his order, if he is still being a dick, man up and call him out on being a dick and remind him that during this covid shit everyone is suffering and that he isn't the only one and there's no need to add on to that, but be polite about it. Your superior won't fire you over these small clashes especially if you are polite and have good reasons. Worst come to worst, just get a new job or enjoy more neetbux.
