Intermittent fasting

after 16 hours new brain cells start to form
Fasting is obv a good tool and anciet people already knew that. Now science seems to agree
What are your tips?
I try to stay at least 16 hours without food in stomach.
caloric restriction (< 1200 kcal) with meals every 8 hours or 16 hours fasting with ''eat what you want'' 6 hours time-frame?

Personally I've been eating 2 large meals per day, doesn't even feel like fasting. My "breakfast" is huge, 2000+ calories, then a smaller meal about 4-6 hours later depending when I'm hungry.

and then fasting also helped by the night?

it's valuable to say also that there is an increase in testosterone

Been fasting on one huge meal a day for about 3 years on ~5000 cal. I’m big lean and ripped. Not a larp

I don't think 16 hours does anything. Pic related for reference.

I usually do 24 hours a day and throw few 30 hour fasts twice a week.

i literally sleep walk to the fridge and eat cheese and wake up in bed with crackers

>. I’m big lean and ripped
what do you mean with ''big lean'' and ripped?

>I don't think 16 hours does anything
Maybe it's not too much
But think about the cumulative effect if you take as an habit on having one meal per day
The cumulative effect

I eat all meals in a 5 hour period after my workout water and black coffee during fasting periods

If you can do 16hour, why don't you do OMAD and thus 24h?

I think anything less than 24h is not effective. For example all my digestive issues disappeared on 24 hour fasting lifestyle, but 16 hour was not enough and especially the 8 hour eating window was bad for my gut health

I do that when im cutting in a certain phase i have to in order to drop fat, and i have to say its good but pretty much catabolic pic related

You have boobs, Ranjesh

Pecs pajeet

16-8 schedule is for FAT FUCKS only.

any normal sized high iq male does 18-6 schedule.

I do this for a whole month every year, the month of ramadan.

I do one big meal a day typically, anywhere from 2400-3000 calories. I've found that my energy levels during the day are fuckin great.

>If you can do 16hour, why don't you do OMAD and thus 24h?
24 hours I am still too weack
You have hunger only the first 2 days
>I think anything less than 24h is not effective. For example all my digestive issues disappeared on 24 hour fasting lifestyle, but 16 hour was not enough and especially the 8 hour eating window was bad for my gut health

I also follow the sadguu advice cause I think mysticism is the sister of science
He says : leave your stomach empty for at least 8 hours
Science says after 16 hours body starts to repair itself (it has nothing to do without food in stomach)

Stopped eating due to advice from financial section of Vietnamese stamp collecting forum.

What issues did you have that fasting fixed? Genuinely interested

>What issues did you have that fasting fixed?
fasting fixes a lot of problems
In combination with meditation can also fix your social problems

No fap + fasting + meditation is top tier self improovment

Health benefits for fasting are mostly complete by 4 days
That said, those 2-3 days at the beginning are the worst for hunger and lethargy

Intermittent fasting as you described op is a good way to activate autophagy the process by which your cells recycle proteins and repair themsleves
Autophagy starts somewhere around 16-17 hours and if done somewhat regularly will finish delivering its benefits by the 18th hour without food
Autophagy (obviously) increases longevity

This guy, Dr. Berg is kind of a YouTube health doctor (he's actually a chiropractor) but this video of his describes the process of fasting clearly:

(You don't need to take the B vitamins and shit that he recommends though)

But if you want to go on a longer fast than the 16-18 hour intermittent fast, I recommend eating at least a half teaspoon of salt a day and drinking lots of water
Also eating any food high in potassium and magnesium (2nd and 3rd most important electrolytes behind sodium) before you start your fast helps a lot

>t. On a weeklong fast right now

i lost weight to get to where i desired by fasting and have now settled on a diet which i suppose is still fasting
>breakfast (cereal) 8am
>main meal (meat and veg or salad) 2pm
>only on days i exercise (weather dependent) protein bar or cereal 6.30pm

We usually discuss this over on Zig Forums fren
Anyway I'm doing IF since about a month now, eating window is 1.30-9.30pm. It's great not having to force myself in the morning to eat. Definitely feel like my head is clearer in the morning

>roding for this
fucking kek

this is business related how

Peak performance let's you conduct business in a more efficient manner. Sounds like you need to do some fasting.

>can fix your social problems
>we’re going out for dinner and drinks user, come join us
>can’t, it interferes with my intermittent fasting routine
>record scratch
>ah, ok, maybe next time

>>can’t, it interferes with my intermittent fasting routine
yes you appear weirdo
everytime I say to my normies that I eat only once x day they look at me as a stupid

>eating at least a half teaspoon of salt a day
yeah thank you user

Here comes another random tip: drink water with a little bit of apple cider vinegar in it during IF.

Zig Forums is pretty into starving themselves, there's always a thread or 3 over there. They use snakejuice, some youtuber meme of lemon juice + salts mix to not die. Look it up.
