I'm willing to hang out here for a while given this is Zig Forumsness, is this actually your resume?
Actually never mind this has to be a fucking joke resume. If this is actually yours, buy LinkedIn premium and reach out to multiple recruiters for help on your resume.
This shit looks like a macaroni necklace and I'd never give it a moment's fucking notice.
is it really that bad?
Why do you have two associates degrees instead of a bachelor's?
the course requirements for the math was the design engineering degree plus first aid and a couple of other classes
I thought it would be cool to have both
It's really that bad. Sorry. Would love to help, but I think you should do what I suggested. Spend the $30/month and reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn and get some feedback. This is an unhireable resume, honestly. It's clear you have some skills, I'll update below.
If you're in "IT" it doesn't really matter. A guy works above me that didn't finish high school and he's beyond brilliant. Literally an autistic psycho, but brilliant and does his job. Degrees mean nothing if you'r exceptional.
Applied for over 900 jobs with endless different resumes. Some of them 1 simple page , some 10 pages, some exaggerated to absurdity with every qualification explained in detail. Only got 10 replies, 8 interviews, and 0 job offers.
Can you copy and text a pastebin for me so I can reword stuff and shit? I'll literally rewrite your entire resume if you give it to me in a decent to manipulate plaintext.
Sounds like you're not selling yourself right. You should expect at least a call back from 50% of the jobs you apply to, otherwise you're not modulating your resume per job. You're literally getting filtered out.
>trained in... it and it management
Like what? What specifically? Softwares, tasks, what
>social media setup
what specifically, need buzzwords so people searching for your resume can find you have skills
What did you improve or create while you were at the jobs? Give numbers like "improved growth from 1% per year to 3% per year" or "created new focus method to solve specific problem"
>mapping assistant
How many maps did you draw edit or detail?
I would use bold or larger text for the main stuff, like job titles. Need space? At the bottom of resume you have a lot of white space but one column that extends, trim that down, combine things, get rid of fluff, add another column, reorganize
>I have volunteered
if you want to discuss this at all then you need to add details like where, hours worked, organizations.
do you really want to take up precious interview and call time talking about volunteering if it's not very related or useful to the job you applied for? no? something to think about, even though volunteering is great.
Exactly, this fucking resume is a mess.
If you have enough experience your resume should be two pages. All that education, community, volunteer stuff can go on the back.
Nearly every (not all) resume bullets should follow the formula "Action, impact, result".
What you did (action), how it impacted the business, and the result".
They say you get a page per 4-5 years, I think that's chill.
This is all you get for free, given you're not attentive to the thread.
Well thank ya'll for the feedback. I really didn't think it was this bad. I recently lost my job and I did a almost complete rewrite of my old one.
anyway here is a pastebin
pastebin.com
try not to dox me I guess
>two pages
into the trash
Did you buy a LinkedIn Premium account and message a few recruiters in your area for resume help, etc?
wtf kind of resume is this?
layouts all fucked big time mate
well not its only been a hour crap.
why the fuck is it so cluttered?
first, make it fucking simple and easy to find shit.
second job experince is the key, but certs and degrees fill in any gaps nicely.
why do you say college certificate in 365? 365 is microsoft, if you don't have the microsoft cert then no one is going to give a shit about some class you took in college
the very bottom i would just trash, if you don't mention that you used those programs at your job then its not relevant imo
also no need to give a detailed description for previous jobs that have no bearing on the jobs you're applying for, just mention your main task briefly
hmmm ok
I really hate the bottom area; anyway.
I've only had just a couple of jobs I'm fairly young If I didn't list them there would be blanks.
then make sure that you change them so that the skills you highlight are at least slightly relevant to the job/field you are applying for
that makes some sense
How did you write like this? And I thought math was hard.
I've worked with professional recruiters my entire career and I've made it my mission to help idiots like you (and friends, family) make better resumes that describe their skills and experiences more accurately in order to get them into the interviews they need to be in.
AMA
here you go user i took a old resume of mine and doctored the shit out of it, before anyone laughs, i've gotten a few jobs using that style lol
sometimes i'll get a recruiter who'll want a short description, and i usually just give them a line of phrases, like worked with printers, windows and some software...
>pic on your resume
the only people who care about a pretty resume is HR and having the right certs/job history easily gets you past them
cool design
a picture though? I look like Fred Flintstone IRL though
well thats pretty much why, so many people now days will wear a hoody to a job interview, showing people you have the ability to shave and dress nice is important
seems boring... but if it worked then it works.
>>pic on your resume
well yeah I can dress up nicely
In the past Ive used this picture of me on a airplane I actually shaved believe it or not 3 hours before I took this picture
Hey, quick question - how do you deal with gaps?
I hail from a top 20 school, but have huge gaps on my rez b/c I was day trading stock and crypto.
Also, my experience is all over the place (industry wise), but I guess I am experienced in operations. Should I lie about my gaps?
>20038387
It's actually an automatic disqualification for any resume passing through any reputable hiring agency or company, as a 'picrelated' to the resume assumes they're hiring off a persons appearance which includes but is not limited to,
>race
>age
>sex
>attractiveness
>suggestiveness
usajobs.gov
>picrelated
honestly, i think in the tech fields. the managers have more say in hiring people since HR is clueless.
and i've always felt give them the most information in the simplest form possible so the manager doesn't have to read through paragraphs to find the important junk
not sure how the rest of the world works...
oh shit user, i was thinking you were ugly.
nah man you'll do fine, just take a pic of you in a button down shirt standing next to a wall or something so its just a single color. you'll be fine
strange as i've been hired by national temp agencies multiple times. even got a job at a fortune 500 company before lol
I think I will dig out my old suit and get someone to take some pictures of me.
Cannot really do it right now since I have the coroners but when I get better
Snap Crackle Pop
Here's a fresh one that is not a year old
smile some, and also delete those photos user lol
