You can't really win against Deidara, a tie is the best thing you get if you don't asspull yourself into safety with a space time jutsu. I see Gaara having massive problems against C4 too already. I don't really see him winning this

He has the sealing pyramid thing he tried to pull up with Madara if Deidara wants to go full 9/11 with him.

No way Gaara beats Sasori, the Iron Sand puppet counters Gaara, plus Sasori beat the 3rd Kazekage which was said to be the strongest Kazekage by far even when Gaara was currently Kazekage

You have to come prepared with seals to pull this off though and even then Deidara can arguably bomb himself through before the pyramid closes and the seal activates

Yes, I might have underrestimated Sasori in my initial comment. He kinda counters Gaara by nature. He's pretty damn underrated in general if you think about it

Sasori is primarily a poison wielder with an immortality gimmick, which makes it doubtful he beat the third in a straight fight -- and also, while Sasori can use the techniques with the puppets, iirc he couldn't go even close to the power and control of the third. Also, the third Kazekage was said to be the most powerful in the beginning of Shippuden, far before the Gaara from the OP's pic, and iirc Sasori's fight with the third was hard as fuck. Gaara knows Sasori MO, his go to stack is to crush the enemy completely, poison needs to penetrate his sand carapace to affect him and can control massive amounts of sand to fuck Sasori's puppets.

statements like this are a non-factor for two reasons
1: Plenty of time has passed from that statement to the end of the series and in that time Gaara has grown considerably
2: Statements like this are always born from heavy bias. It's not like Gaara and the third ever compared their powers in a contest or anything. Gaara was also very new at that time, he had barely any feats while the 3rd probably already fought in actual wars.

With appropriate distance and location I dare to say that war Gaara would hard counter sick Itachi. Especially when he already had enough knowledge about MS arsenals like amaterasu and susanoo. Edo Itachi with regenerative chakra still spanks him hard tho.

Dude would just camp inside his flying sand sphere while relying on sand sensing for the entire battle. He canonically blocked amaterasu. Gaara can also pull out susanoo user using the sand below uchiha feets as long as it's a legless one.

Actually if Shukaku is inside Gaara and is being a bro, they could get off Tsukuyomi like Bee did while schooling Sasuke.

Gaara beats Zetsu, Hidan, Konan and HIV Itachi

lightning doesn't seem to be able to just incapacitate sand like it can with explosive clay, so i think that + gaara's capabilities means he could handle kakuzu pretty decently. he'd be fucked IF hidan could make him bleed but gaara has the sand + sand armor and sasuke had to take him by surprise with a stab just to get blood. don't think hidan's weapon could do that to get through his defenses. konan counts and would probably lose. he'd probably kill sasori easily too since his sand could work similarly to the 3rd's and probably just fuck up all his puppet joints including his own body's and he's probably smart enough to avoid the poison. itachi, kisame, and pain probably beat him though. deidara DID beat him but he kind of had the perfect counter to gaara. obito? yeah he'd win too.

Gaara father was weak trash that Orochimaru killed easily, Orochimaru and Sasori fought each other and Orochimaru said it was a draw, my point is that Sasori is way stronger that Gaara’s dad

Sasori being so underused is a shame. He was far more interesting than the likes of Hidan skills-wise, yet he got nerfed in a very retarded way against Chiyo and Sakura.

He was killed by an Akatsuki member so probably not unless he faces Hidan which was the shitter of the group.
