that wasn’t meant to depict a slum, it was a gorgeous little poor backstreet in Naha which is the wealthiest part of Okinawa, which is one of the poorest prefectures in the country
they don’t have racial jungles quite the same way but spend a night in Kabukicho in Tokyo plagued by nigerian touts and you’ll truly believe NYC isn’t as bad
the point is that it all smells the same no matter whether you’re in London or Cartagena
