Pacenotes in dirt titles have always been inconsistent to an infuriating degree
I really shouldn't have to rote memorize half a dozen sections per track where the codriver goes full retard in order to kill me
the pacenotes themselves i'm okay with, its the timing, no matter what setting i have it, my co-driver always gives the wrong call either too early or too late
Too bad this franchise was abandoned. The first game had a better simulation than Gran Turismo.
It`s called real life.
They work fine, right up until the point where they don't and you get informed of a 1 right when you've already gone flat in 6th gear over the jump leading into it. There's also a bunch of blatantly wrong calls in DR2, especially Australia where you'll be plowing downhill into ultra tight corners that would never ever be called as 3 let alone 4.
The game was actually about DRIVING and it punished you for going off course.
Shame.
>disable abs in sim
>brakes lock in a straight line when I breathe on the brake pedal
The absolute best
I got filtered by the Bunta final boss in the PSP game
I wince eerytime I see an R32 just because I'll never drive one in my life
