MK11 Aftermath story entire plot

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath begins where the original story mode ended. Liu Kang fuses with Raiden and defeats Kronika. He then attempt to re-write history with Raiden's help but in order to do so has to erase everything that we know. A portal opens up and Shang Tsung, Nightwolf and Fujin walk through. Shang reveals that he had been working with Kronika until she witnessed an event in which he would betray her and imprisoned him. Also imprisoned were many warriors whom could have aided Raiden in thwarting her plans, including Nightwolf and Fujin.
Shang reveals that in destroying the crown, which was the key to utilizing Kronika's powers, Liu Kang would doom the entire universe if he undid everything without it so he offers his services to return the crown to him. Raiden refuses to believe him so he attempts to attack him with what little power he has that remains since the fusion, but Fujin steps in. They fight. Fujin wins and tells his brother that Shang Tsung is right. Liu Kang agrees but requests that Nightwolf and Fujin keep him on a short leash. Shang reveals he needs more assistance for his plan to work so Liu Kang sends the three back in time.
We first end up in Outworld where Shang seeks assistance from the Shokan. There, Shang reveals his plan but reveals he needs to bring back Sindel in order to successfully defeat Kronika but he wants Sheeva there to help persuade the Queen. Sheeva agrees but states that Kitana Kahn won't like it. Shang tells her not to worry. They head to the castle but split into two groups to avoid detection. Sheeva and Nightwolf cut through the Tarkatan camp and are questioned by Baraka. Sheeva fights him. Shang Tsung and Fujin are traveling through the desert of Outworld and are confronted by D'Vorah. Shang Tsung fights and defeats her. Together, the two groups meet back up at the castle and sneak in, Shang disguised as a Shokan.

They steal the coffin and make their way into the Dead Pool where they are ambushed by Baraka and Erron Black. Baraka had alerted Erron to something suspicious going on with the Shokan and locked the castle down. Baraka sniffs out Shang Tsung and is fought by Fujin, defeating him. Nightwolf then fights Erron Black, defeating him as well and the others finish off the remaining Tarkatan. They make their way to the Soul Chamber where Shang Tsung and Fujin begin trying to revive the Queen. They are ambushed by Noob Saibot who had sensed Nightwolf's return and had been following them, wanting revenge. Nightwolf is temporarily knocked out but Fujin beats him. Kitana arrives and attempts to stop them but Sheeva explains the situation and of the future with Liu Kang. Kitana stands firm that there must be another way but Shang Tsung puts her in her place. With Sindel reborn, she mocks her daughter as weak and the two fight. Sindel defeats her but spares her. Shang Tsung explains the situation to her and reveals they must work together to survive. When Sheeva confirms this to be true, Sindel agrees to a temporary truce.
Here we get a scene where Geras informs Kronika that Shang Tsung, Nightwolf and Fujin are somehow free and helping the Earthrealmers. Kronika reveals that in a future timeline she must have failed and they were freed. She then requests that all the revenants be sent out to stop them as Shang Tsung must be up to his old tricks, but she estimates that there may still be a way she could carry out her plan if Shang Tsung betrays them, the timing just has to be perfect.

They then split into two groups again. Sheeva and Nightwolf travel to the Wu Shi Dragon Grotto to collect enough Jinsei for Shang Tsung's plan. There, they are attacks by Kronika's forces including revenant's Kitana and Kung Lao. Nightwolf fights Kung Lao and Sheeva fights Kitana. Both winning, they escape to rendezvous back with Shang Tsung. The other three (Tsung, Sindel and Fujin) arrive at Shang's old island and witness young Jax Briggs and Jacqui Briggs fighting revenants Jade and Kabal. Shang attempts to bypass the fight and head directly down into Goro's lair but Fujin runs off to help and they intervene. Alas they are too late as Jade and Kabal escape into a time vortex or some sort with young Jax and Jacqui.
They travel down into Goro's Lair and attempt to steal the crown. Fujin confronts Shang about watching his every move, hesitant of betrayal and Shang laughs it off. There they are attacked by a returning Jade and Kabal. Sheeva takes on Jade, while Sindel takes on Kabal while Shang and Fujin steal the crown. There they are confronted by older Jax, whom Fujin is shocked to learn is working for Kronika. Fujin and Jax have a heartfelt conversation about loss and doing he right thing which makes Shang mock them both as they head topside. Jax agrees to help not just for the better of Earthrealm, but for the promise of Liu Kang getting the crown and re-writing all of these horrible wrongs. That's when Cetrion appears and ambushes them. She easily dispatches Nightwolf, Jacqui and Sheeva, so she engages in a 4v1 against Jax, Shang Tsung, Sindel and Fujin. The four easily overpower her and she is beaten. Jax and Jacqui leave the island to go help elsewhere, as Fujin promises to deliver the crown back to Liu Kang.

With the crown in hand, they make their way to Kronika's Keep and the Hour Glass where the battle is raging to storm the fortress. We see the previous events taking place in the background and the Earthrealmer's open fire on them for being aligned with known villains. Sheeva's Shokan armies burst through the same portal and engage them in battle so that our playable characters can make their way into the fortress. They find that their being there has altered events already. Shao Kahn is there, fighting on behalf of Kronika's armies along with his minions D'Vorah, Kollector, Erron Black and Skarlet. Fujin takes on Shao Kahn and kills him, Shang Tsung battles a confused Scorpion and kills him, and Sindel battles D'Vorah, killing her.
Shang Tsung notices Fire God Liu Kang making his way into Kronika's Hour Glass sanctum and follows behind, sneaking away from the others as they continue to battle the Netherrealm hordes. He lets Liu Kang dispatch revenant Kitana and Kung Lao, as well as Cetrion. Before Liu Kang engages with Kronika, she announces Shang's presence and he comes out of hiding. Liu Kang, stunned at seeing the sorcerer alive, is temporarily confused as Shang reveals that he has Kronika's crown. Kronika attempts to lure him back to her side by offering him unlimited power in her new timeline. Shang, however, reveals that he was sent by Liu from the future and that Kronika is irrelevant due to her defeat at the hands of Liu and that she would have never prevailed as she was too weak minded to win. Here you are given a choice: allow Liu Kang to take the crown from you and defeat Kronika, thus bringing balance to the universe and restoring the timeline OR keep the crown for yourself, murder Kronika using its power and then defeat Fire God Liu Kang and shape the timeline to match Shang Tsung's needs?

Letting Fire God Liu Kang take the crown resorts in an ending where Liu Kang restarts history but it is fast forwarded to the present where the universe is so balanced that even certain enemies are now allies (like Shang Tsung) and that all of the realms live in relative peace. We also see that Liu Kang has indeed made his fellow friends gods that watch over the realms.
Letting Shang Tsung keep the crown has him murder Liu Kang, to which Raiden appears and he murders him too. He then opens several portals and several people emerge; Daegon, the Edenian demi-god. Quan Chi, the Netherrealm sorcerer, and Shao Kahn. With the power to shape the universe to their will, Shang Tsung announces that their time is now and they will rule the universe with an iron fist.

fake and gay

fighting game combos are getting pretty complicated

wait what coffin

Sindel's obviously.
>inb4 second ending is canon and is the main plot for MK12

Hope you enjoyed your 40 dollar YouTube video spoiled by me in 15 minutes of reading. :D

I wouldnt read this wall of text to save a life

Sorry if the writing is all over the place, the plot was really hard to understand in certain bits. On Shang's island in particular, characters disappear and reappear without warning, i.e. young Jax and Jacqui. I guess they reappear when Jade and Kabal come back. Anyway, it's three chapters long so it's relatively short. About 2 hours maybe.

Why would I read all of this?

Sounds pretty believable to me. If it is I certainly wouldn't pay $40 for it though.

Then don't. The entire plot is 3 chapters of Shang leading people on just to get the crown and then you get two possible endings; Liu's happy universe with his friends as gods or Shang using the crown to bring back bad guys to rule the universe by his side. There ya go. :)

>daegon

It’s fake.

LOL It's really not though. You people are probably going to really hate it.

at this point i'm so sick of the writing bending over backwards to justify the encounters and world that i just want them to have a radical reboot and wipe shit clean
if this is real, and ending 1 is canon and its a perfect world then i'd like to see that the way liu kang obtained it was making the worst timeline possible where everyone is the biggest, most vile person they could possibly be across all timelines
like johnny cage is a coked out psycopathic douchebag superstar, sonya is a professional hitman assassin, characters are actual genuine war criminals like hsu-hsao is just a chink hitler, mileena is redesigned as a cannibalistic serial killer, erron is a cowboy that lynches negros
and to wrap it all in one big package- the reason they can all murder eachother without recompense is because they're contained in a enteral hell that they can't die from so their souls or whatever can't drift back over into the perfect timeline world with the added bonus of letting them actually be from across the horrible world's timeline, like johnny is a modern age douche but mileena is from the 50's and the scorpion and subby are ancient feudal era ninjas.
i know that all sounds like fanfiction but after seeing mk11 fanfiction is a upgrade

Now that I think about it, I'm kinda mad Sektor and Cyrax didn't show up since there was a tiny scene of them fighting cybers once they get to the island. They are literally there to pass the time while Jade and Kabal are doing their thing. What a waste. Not even Frost.

The fact that Daegon is in there shows that the leak is fake. Literally no one gives a shit about this character.

Get ready to like Daegon a whole lot more. :)

You’re really bored.

You're right, I am, but I am so ready for the shit to hit the fan because the story DLC was trash and because of the cliffhanger, I bet there's going to be another one.

Do Quan Chi and Daegon have new designs?

Where is my boy Reiko?

Quan Chi has the skull vest thingy from X and the glowy tattoos on his head but with the spikey things but has the teal pants from his older appearances. His outfit is sleeveless though. His face model is interesting too, almost looks like they got an African American face model by the features though I can't tell because of the white face going on.

Daegon looks more like he does in the X endings. has a cape and the messed up eye. He also has the two blades on his hips. You really only see each one for like a couple seconds as they walk through the portal, then the camera zooms in close on Shang's face.

>No Havik

WAKE ME UP INSIDE

>nigger Quan chi

Ok fuck this shit. They just ruined another character.

>against Jax, Shang Tsung, Sindel, and Fujin
>The four easily overpower her and she is beaten.
Correction, the three overpower her
Jax is just there

Do you know if Quan Chi and Daegon are gonna be added as DLC?

Not present.

No idea. I know nothing of future DLC. If there's more DLC, maybe. If not, I guess they are the villains in MK12 if that ending is canon.
