I hope there are mission with Mumkhar/Alvis/etc like Jin in XB2.

What about Lorithia

You need to post the new outfits you can win
Jesus, XB1DE is going to occupy most of my June at this, especially if they throw in a new difficulty mode like with BoC in XB2

She was never playable in the original.

Oh, I thought you meant boss rematches

I've given up on getting to Future Connected unspoiled. It'll be weeks/months before I get to it. I'll just Youtube the cutscenes before Zig Forums can ruin it

Assuming you play XB1 before, just skip to Future Connected before the main XB1DE game.

IT'S A REMAKE REEEE

>Thread died because no one gave a shit
>Make a new one 5 minutes later
Do gamers really do this?

I had been planning to do a replay of XB1 right when DE was announced so I put it off. I'm diving straight into the original game, no question

I avoided using that word so as not to trigger the FFVII fags with severe Stockholm Syndrome. Poor bastards

>Bringing up FF7 out of nowhere
Rent free

Different user, just a coincidence

See, this is what I meant

Fair
I'm about to beat XB1 on dolphin for my annual run through, so I'll probably jump straight into FC
But holy shit, I love arcade-mode shit like this.
A little self-contained video-gamey nonsense is also fun. It's one of the reasons I liked ME3 Citadel DLC as much as I did

> completely fucks up the original artstyle
> perfect
whatever you say champ

>LOL LOOK HOW RETARDED I AM!
Based, where did FF7 touch you?

>brings XB1 more in line with the rest of the series
>causes cognitive dissonance to people who try to claim that XB1 "wasn't anime"
It's perfect.

Which out, the secondaries are about to tell you the series was always meant to look like this while posting irrelevant characters from Gears

too late

Nowhere because I didn't buy it. Replayed the original last month instead. It still holds up, is actually finished, and doesn't have stupid time ghosts

stop pls, we're having fun here

>Still seething over time ghosts
Based timechads filtering boomers.

>Which out, the secondaries are about to tell you the series was always meant to look like this while posting irrelevant characters from Gears
No, we're quoting the devs for XB1 themselves

>it doesn't look like it's ripping off FF12
>it's bad

Imagine being retarded.

>First game in the series brings it "more in line with the rest of the series"
What did he mean by this?

And everyone else with standards or taste, which you'll actually find in Xeno threads

What does this image have to do with the artstyle looking completely different in the remake?
Are you so much of a retarded ironic weeb you think moeshit is the only anime artstyle?

Are you a Xeno-fan or did you come in here for the sole purpose of getting offended

Lots of people on Zig Forums love XC2, so I wouldn't say that.

Hey, the gameplay in 2 is good. It's just a few who can't admit Rex is a garbage protag.

I wouldn't call myself a Xeno fan, more of a JRPG fan in general, which includes the Xeno series.

I really hope the outfits aren't all just meme garbage and there's some decent stuff in there.

Because the original didn't have a designated art style, it had whatever the 3D modelers could cobble together.
The rudimentary storyboard in that image suggests that the original intent for what the devs wanted XB1 to look like was more in line with traditional anime designs and aesthetic.

Rex outfit for Shulk
Pyra outfit for Fiora
Zeke outfit for Dunban
Nia outfit for Melia

can't wait to see Seven's bikini outfit.

I'd say Morag outfit for Dunban, Zeke outfit for Riki

>Because the original didn't have a designated art style
What are you smoking? Do you think it was a mistake every single character had the same artstyle, and shading?

>the devs wanted XB1 to look like was more in line with traditional anime designs and aesthetic
What is "traditional anime designs and aesthetic"? Even the basic bargain anime style changes every decade, because anime as a whole has numerous artstyles.

How is XC1's original artstyle any less anime?

>Seven
You have to go back.

XB1 had a semi-realistic style that confused people into thinking it wasn't a shonen adventure about the power of friendship and an anime teenager fighting shit with a giant laser sword.

I CLAPPED

Blade Nia, the diver suit would look ridiculous on an actual proportionate woman

>ANIME ARTSTYLE
>ANIME ARTSTYLE
>AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Kill everyone in this thread.

Attached: 1395630066430.png (360x867, 340.46K)

It's literally called a remaster on the website.

OH SHIT! The portal they take for the time attack stuff is the same kind as in XC2, but red instead of blue.

>Seven

You mean Fiora who gets put into a Mechon and then saved by Shulkies god powers?

>I wish da world had no gods!!! oh also that fiora has vagina again

>hehehe

But it's a remake. Ree.

Sell me on this game as someone who's never played a Xeno title.

No I mean the characters that are in your party for one or two fights in the original game.

>XB1 had a semi-realistic style
It had FF12's artstyle, which is still anime.

>that confused people
Who?

>into thinking it wasn't a shonen adventure about the power of friendship and an anime teenager fighting shit with a giant laser sword
I don't get what you mean by this, are you saying it's bad, or generic?

Imagine playing through a shonen anime except the moments that are usually kind of cringey are really well done and exciting as fuck

what's fiora gonna wear?

>Zeke outfit for Dunban
It would be Morag, goofy. Reyn would get Zeke's outfit. For that matter, I hope there's a Fashion Slot to make the Monado look like Metsu's weapon.

That isn't what happens. Fiora gets her body grown back.

Better go and tell the devs that they[re wrong then.

>remake
How. It's not on a new engine and only the assets for the models are different.

>What are you smoking? Do you think it was a mistake every single character had the same artstyle, and shading?
That's more the result of the models all being made by the same crew but they weren't working off some 2D depiction of the characters
nintendoeverything.com/tetsuya-takahashi-reflects-on-the-art-of-xenoblade-chronicles-2/
>For the original Xenoblade Chronicles game, this character design artwork simply didn’t exist; all we had were costume designs for the clothing the characters wore. This meant we were forced to create the CG character models to fit those costume designs. And what’s more, the only artwork released of those characters were retouched versions of their CG models – there was no concept art to speak of, not like this at any rate.
What is "traditional anime designs and aesthetic"? Even the basic bargain anime style changes every decade, because anime as a whole has numerous artstyles.
Eyes that occupy a larger-than-average amount of real-estate on the face, mouths that aren't extremely detailed with designated lips and the like.
>How is XC1's original artstyle any less anime?
I'm not, but (and granted, this may not be your own stance) a lot of people liked the original because they thought it wasn't trying to be like other anime, particularly with the more understated eyes and pronounced lips.
I will give it that I kind of wish the shading in XB1DE was more like the original. I think the models look fine but the shading could be closer to the earthy palette of the original

>semi-realistic
It was still anime it just had dog shit textures

I was pretty clear what I meant. XB1 has a lot of fans who think it's a grounded and mature adventure and that XB2 was a big departure instead of XB1 being the odd one out for its more realistic artstyle.

Fiora coming back to life isn't a spoiler. Stop this meme.

How many Xenogears costumes aren't we going to get?

>It's not a new engine
Do you know that for certain? The new scenario even has a new battle system.
Anyway, a remaster would just be an upscale with sharper textures and whatnot. New models and music and environmental graphics are the grounds of a remake.

Rex as a protag is fine. What you want to say is that people look at Rex's outfit and somehow end up not liking him as a whole just because they don't like his design.

Hopefully nothing

it's a bit like ff12 but with bigger maps a little better combat and a little worse partybuilding, you mostly plow through robots and collect shit

Fiora will get Pyra/Mythra's outfit
Shulk will get Rex's
Dunban will get Morag's
Reyn will get Zeke's
Riki will get Tora's
Melia will get Nia's
Sharla might get Poppi's QTPi's outfit, but likely not
And there's no Poppi equivalent in the party, so that's dead.

>That's more the result of the models all being made by the same crew but they weren't working off some 2D depiction of the characters
And? That somehow eliminates an artstyle?
>Eyes that occupy a larger-than-average amount of real-estate on the face, mouths that aren't extremely detailed with designated lips and the like
Which Xeno outside of XC2 had this?
>I'm not, but (and granted, this may not be your own stance) a lot of people liked the original because they thought it wasn't trying to be like other anime
You guys always say this, but I never see anyone say this, you're acting like the reason people are disappointed with the generic looking anime artstyle are mad because it's anime, and not he fact it's generic.

None, but Bamco is tight with Takahashi, so we could get some Saga outfits. Imagine Dunban in Jin (not Citan's), clothing.
Her body actually gets tossed in a regeneration chamber

FFXII definitely has better combat than Xenoblade

Shulk looks like a younger Klaus with fluffier hair, funny.

XC1 is pretty generic compared to the rest of the series, but it still wasn't as bad and generically shonen anime as XC2.
