JRPG fag here trying Skyrim for the first time.

Which one is better, 2 handed or 1 handed weapons?

Wanna do some warrior build, will i miss a lot not using magic at all?

uninstall skyrim
install morrowind

Play Morrowind faggot

It's not a videogame, these questions have no answers.

1 handed is better to leave room for a shield and spells.
Shields are worth using since after a while you can stun enemies very well with them.
You will definitely want to use some magic, at the bear minimum have some healing spells.

don't listen to this fags

morrowind is garbage

How did Todd fool you? Was it the fake-mustache?

Ignore these fags and go for two-handed if you want more damage, one-handed and shield if you want more defense.Realistically you should use restoration and/or alteration for buffs and healing but you can still do a non-magic build if you cheese hard enough.

Stop being faggots

Had Skyrim here so i'm trying to give it a chance. Might play other WRPGs later if i like this one.

Wanna make some Thorfinn style character but daggers are shit so i'm trying greatswords now. I miss having a shield or a free hand with the healing spell already, so are 2 handed weapons worth t?

I just played 3 Dragon Quests in a roll and before that i was playing Yakuza. Wanna to try something more western based

How do i setup these things?

Just let the greatswiord and the healing spell on favourites? I put a level point in magic because to spend less mana, did i fucked up already?

It's skyrim dude
You literally cannot make a wrong decision
That's what we're trying to tell you
None of it matters

Well if you insist on not playing Kinowind, One-Handed dualwielding becomes op in the mid-game if you handle two swords. You can also manage Alteration and Restoration for defense and recovery if you decide to wear light armor.

Personally, go with Heavy Armor and Spell-Swording with Restoration, Alteration and Destruction with one handed weapons, I think that's the fun route.

you can't reset things but it's pretty open in skyrim like since your leveling is based on your skills and same for your skill tree you can save your skill point and why not switch
one point is litterally nothing since you can go up to 50 lvl( max lvl for most of monsters if i'm not wrong)

I have no idea man never played a wrpg before

For more of a optimal build, i keep putting points in 2handed?

or should i try 1 handed plus shield or magic?

What build do you think that is more fun for a first timer?

Well personally I like to swing big weapons and it doesn't get old for me, I find shield play style boring but you may enjoy the combat because it will be more forgiving than two-handed.

I'd say find a big weapon you think is cool, and the same for a shield and one-handed weapon, add to favorites and switch back and forth for a bit between fights to see what's more enjoyable for you.

It literally doesn't matter what build you go, can you read? Just whatever you do, if you go melee, make sure to spam left click as fast as possible to abuse the shitty kill cam animations.

Thanks brah

Shit that my character is a blond twink now but i'm going for big swords

>2 handed or 1 handed weapons
As a meleefag myself both are equally unsatisfying in Bethesda's absolutely weightless game engine, you just feel like you're tarding out with a slab of cardboard either way. There's a reason most people just cheese everything with sneak archery, combat isn't fun.

yeah the combat sucks thanks god that we have Dragons dogma

>blonde twinks can’t wield huge swords

Who cares. You'll just end up being a stealth archer anyway

I don't get why this garbage is so popular. There is literally no cohesion or plot and the vanilla graphics and combat are shit.

It was supposed to be kid Thorfinn and i ended up as midger Blonde haired William Defoe

Its the setting and the music

The only other option is Witcher

Lol. It was inevitable tho, that engine can only handle potato faces.

That's the point of Bethesda games, I don't give a shit about the plot I just want to fuck around and do whatever I want, you can spend dozens of hours just wandering around the open world before even starting the main quests

Dual wielding is the most fun IMO. 2 handed slow turd sticks arent fun.

Just get molag bals mace and chill wind and you're set

>Dumb fucking weeb needs people to tell him how to play one of the most forgiving "rpgs" ever made

elder scrolls games age like milk. the only playable one, at any given time, is the most recent one.

Never studied how the game worked, but from my experience if you're going vanilla at least dabble in restoration. Every character starts with Healing, so if you can get the perks to half its cost, allow for dual casting, and restore stamina as well, you'll have a good way to restore health aside from drowning in potions (assuming you increase your magicka every once in a while).
As for the warrior build, it's really whatever you prefer. 2 handed allows for more offense while one handed allows you to hold a shield for defense, but I have heard people saying that dual wielding one handed swords is busted.
There's also the problem of armor, even though you never brought it up, just go light armor. Heavy armor slows down your movement speed to almost to a crawl and it would be a while before you get perks to counteract that. But it does let you be a lot tankier so if that's what you want, maybe you'll have better patience for it than I did.

>2 handed or 1 handed weapons

Niggah go full rogue/sneak. Warrior is the most bland class to run in that shit, going bow/dagger is fun as fuck. Magic is retarded but you can still have fun running an illusion mage.
