Isn't Ubisoft Canadian?
No
nope
They are French.
They're French. One of their biggest studios is in Canada though, Ubisoft Montreal
How was Ubisoft at the top for so long? Does europe not have anyone else making games?
french
Nope, they're french-based
I'm impressed. CDPR only really has Witcher and GOG while Ubisoft has a plethora of stuff.
They are evil French cheap-skates
It's all stocks, right? Isn't it more important how much revenue they bring in? Besides, Ubisoft has at least half a dozen hit IPs, while CD Projekt has one. And CP2077 could very well be a flop or at least not do as well as we all think it may.
In French-Canada*
To think they've come this far in 13 years.
I'm pretty sure that GoG is more valuable than CDPR
>"quality over quantity" he says when CDPR's last game was a mindless excercise in repetition with a myriad of quests that all have you follow your witcher vision without fail, and a bloated map that offers nothing but pointless repeated activities like ghoul nests or bandit camps every second step you take
wew lad
The only good games ubisoft made since the 2000s were the ubiart rayman games
>quality
>cdpr
yes, nothing like downgrades and trannies lol
At least in my country (Spain) people buy AssCreeds like its allways a 10/10 game.
They have two now. There is no way CP2077 will be a flop. You'd know this if you played Witcher 3
Ubisoft makes 10 times more revenue and 3.3 times more net profit. This is some bubble shit right over here.
>quality over quantity
TW3's map would disagree
>Ubiniggers Dilate Team as arrived
As someone mildly hyped for CP2077, this isn't good news, since their value probably comes from retarded levels of stock speculation and this will attract unending hordes of retarded investors who only want to turn a quick buck.
Actually, I remember Ubisoft were doing what they could to buy it's public owned shares back and this is probably what devalued them, but it's probably also the main reason behind whatever good decisions they've been making in the past few years (still kind of a long way to go, though I admit Siege and the new AssCreeds are way better than what they were putting out before).
I thought the main studio was the montreal one
>Will this make companies realize the importance of quality over quantity?
No. Since CDPR is only popular because Witcher 3. All their other games are fucking shit. Cyebrspunk 2077 will be shit too but it gets to ride on the witcher's 3 fame train.
TW3's map has quality quests all over the place. Your fault if you went to every single question mark like an autist
Yeah, like the baron one and the uh.... err......
>All their other games are fucking shit
No they're fucking not, you fucking retard. Witcher 3 is only as good as it is because of the foundation and experience their first two games brought to them. They're solid games, and they were the stepping stones that made Witcher 3 as great as it is. Now that they're experienced and everything, we have every reason to believe CP 2077 will be as good, if not better than Witcher 3. And it can only get better from there since they'll have gained experience in the new area with guns and everything too
Don't worry they are following Ubisoft to the gutter too
It's a matter of revenue over time. If you want to make some money on the stocks, you want a quick revenue increase so you can sell off your stocks at a high point. This usually results in negative long-term consequences. If you plan on long-term investments you want quality over quantity as that will give the best long-term return on the money you invested. Stock market noted companies like EA are usually pressured by investors to make short-term gains for long-term costs while privately owned companies (the "good" companies that care about their games) tend to sacrifice short-term costs for long-term gains.
>ubisoft revenue 2 000 million dollars
>cdpr revenue 140 million dollars
>ubisoft net income 140 million dollars
>cdpr net income 40 million dollars
Makes you think.
The ridiculous success of Witcher 3 has ruined them.
I did play Witcher 3 and I didn't care for it. I do know how well it sold and how well it continues to sell. That doesn't mean CP2077 will be a success. Not only is it a new IP, which are hit or miss, but it is not being built by many of the same people who built W3 or the Witcher series. A lot of those people went on to new projects in different companies. A lot of the people they've brought on to develop CP2077 have come from shittier devs. They're not top tier veterans. Now, it could still be a hit, but it won't be because Witcher 3 was a hit.
they're the same shit over and over again
How is this "ruined"?
Literally every single side quest in Witcher 3 has excellent writing. Keep fucking seething
She's been in the company since 2012
Transgender options are not forced like the garbage Ubisoft does like in the pic related, it fits the setting perfectly fine. If anything, it'd hurt the authenticity of the game to leave them out
Odyssey > witcher 3
Ubisoft has been making the same fucking games over and over for the last decade. AC going open world was the biggest change they made to any of their franchises during that time and even then it didn't really make them THAT much more fun to play.
Rockstar established this back in 2010 and 2013.
Ask the low key coders and assistants working at CDProjekt about this fun company.
what is Ubi doing?
burning piles of cash for sport?
I think the whole cyberpunk aesthetic is going downhill and focus seems to be shifting onto the typical termite shit that has infected too much of gaming.
I hope I am wrong, but pic related is the cyberpunk aesthetic we are losing for it so I am not hopeful. I'm feeling the same as I have with games like Fallout76 where every new piece of information makes the game worse and worse. But again I really hope I am wrong as I want to play this game, but its just looking worse and worse as time goes by.
Indeed
Having your cognitive abilities is such a blessing in a way. To find any kind of derivative shit to be 10/10 amazing stuff has to be bliss.
That picture looks like shit user.
I really don't see the appeal in GTA V at all, I played it earlier today on PC, and it's good to look at but fuck it's a directionless mess
>flop
The real world isnt 4chinks
>dont think like me=dumb
>enjoy things i dont like=dumb
You are perfect for this site.
where did you get this?
Convince their shareholders first
Last year was ubisoft worst financial year
>the new AssCreeds are way better than what they were putting out before)
you mean the most creatively bankrupt thievery they've done that would make tencent proud?
Are you for real? It looks like what would be displayed in a cops car on their thicc computer terminal, its perfect 80's cyberpunk aesthetic
How about google "ubisoft revenue" "ubisoft net income" "cd projekt revenue" "cd projekt net income"
They are both publicly traded companies, user.
40 studios user

I don't give enough of a shit about either those games or any other open world "action RPG" so I don't really know what you're talking about nor do I care. From where I'm seeing it, they made a bunch of abysmal games and two less abysmal ones, so I must assume they're getting better.
