I play normal. Hard mode is frustrating, and I want to actually enjoy the game, not feel like it's a chore.

hard mode is more enjoyable if you actually got good at the game.

I sprained both thumbs and have been using easy mode to keep gaming.

>he

>play game
>normal is too easy, hard is too hard

I love games that have 4 difficulty levels and the third one is always perfect.

I only play above normal if the game has achievement for it

>game has 6 difficulty levels
>the first 4 are so unplayably fucking easy that not even the casuals touch them
>5 is slightly too easy
>6 is artificial difficulty hell
fuck you OVERKILL

As long as it provides some kind of challenge to over come play whatever difficulty suits you. Video games are literally just a set of mechanics to master and apply to situations that escalate in complexity. I honestly don't get people who say that they want to power through a game to feel all powerful and that a challenging game is too stressful because they have challenges at work or else where in their life. Then don't play games because by definition they're artificial challenges we set up for ourselves.

Easy Mode in the early-90's is equivalent to Very Hard now.

>has

I always want to do this but I never get good enough at the games that feature it to finally do it. The only exceptions are games like xcom where im fine with just restarting over and over again

It's a great way to enjoy a game without save scuming. Would highly recommend,

i just have to get out of my old age mindset. Keep feeling like I can't waste my time losing.

Losing on your way to complete a challenge that's truly satisfying is less of a waste of time than spending the same amount of time face rolling your way through multiple games.

what incentive is there to play games on harder difficulties?
pretty much no games change anything about their games except the health bars
and their only reward is unlocking even harder modes at best

the last game I remember I played on harder difficulties was MGS3 and that it was kind of justified because I wanted to play as if my life really depended on not getting caught

if you play on hard nowadays you're objectively wasting your time

this, unless trophies, because I'm a trophy whore who needs to feel like I'm better than someone at something.

>Hardest dificulty
>Enemies take forever to kill
>You die in 1 hit
>The room is full of enemies and hazards
I don't understand how are you supposed to have fun without trying a lesser dificulty in that case

I prefer hard difficulty because you can't get that first playthrough experience back.
It lengthens the enjoyment, for me at least.

me in the back

Shadow of War.

>if I do something and don't get a reward from it, it is pointless
Your generation and gamification of everything stinks.

>Elder Scrolls character creator

I play most games on easy the first run through for the story, then normal/hard on the next run through.

>pretty much no games change anything about their games except the health bars
Inflated numbers require you to play the game better.
>but I just do the same thing I did on normal
Then you're good enough for hard mode, congratulations, that's the point of hard mode.
