I've grown to dislike remakes due to how often they mangle things that were already good, but I think this is a good candidate, though just a plain successor/sequel might work better.
Just imagine a trespasser game with the physics/emotion system worked out with similar levels of detail in map interactivity. Could be really cool

if it's not a straight remake then I doubt they'd be able to recapture the 90's open map design, which is imo the best part of the game.

This. We desperately need more black representation in our video games.

Just make a sequel instead, remakes are gay

This and Primal Rage have been on my mind a lot lately. Eternal Champions especially. The time hopping and concept of a tournament to find the guardian of good, with a cast comprised entirely of heroes is just kinda interesting to me.

Plus the theme is unreasonably good:

Yeah, I can imagine a sequel or "remake" being made that goes all in on marketing the ai but at a cost of the map like you said. I can't imagine it would go unchanged, they'd maybe go for some weird open world or something instead, levels have kind of fallen off in big name releases. At the very least the random things you could find might be culled off in favor of more obvious things/general streamlining.
Fuck, Primal Rage is another good contender. If a new one were to get made, though, I wouldn't be surprised if they do like many remakes now and just sidestep the artstyle which is annoying in regular games but would honestly probably ruin it for me. Claymation or bust.
It's only occurred to me fairly recently how much I like dino games. I'm not even that big into them, or so I thought.

>final boss is just a raptor with more HP

man the game had good concepts, but it's clear they ran out of ideas and money by the end. The Hammond narrations were kino, though.

We need more good dino games anyway. My soul for a good Turok game.

It's weird how few games feature them now. The fact that FarCry Primal didn't have a dino mode is fucking weird. Blood Dragon had robo dinos but not the fucking caveman game?

I'm also kinda hoping we get a Dino Crisis in the style of the recent RE remakes. Would be cool as shit and super tense with the RE Engine.

XD racism so funnee

that said the choice to use Watermelons to represent health in DK64 was questionable at best.

Trespasser in vr would be tits

Holy fuck the nostalgia hit me hard seeing that. Is there any legit way to play the game now?

FUCK, why didn't anyone tell me Black Forest is doing Destroy all Humans remake, they aren't good.

Yes we do.

DC1 and DC2 remakes are literally the only thing I want. Give us pure 90s raptors with no feathers, gore everywhere, please. I need it in 4k.

Yeah, the game got really fucked by time and money constraints. A little later release might've helped it a lot. The va work was really quite nice, I like how the girl would talk to herself and call out bullets so you don't need a hud.
It really sucks how few fps with dinos there are.
My dream dino game would probably be trespasser with king kong movie game atmosphere/interaction and the awesome spear combat it had. How I wish such a thing were real.
Quite literally

PRIMAL
FUCKING
RAGE

This help?

>primal rage
Yes. Would be cool if they had that combined with the dragon level and stuff from the canned second one.

Go away Todd.

7 versions of the same game is not nearly enough.

I'd rather not have the humans and slashfang's god of the hunt kind of steps on talon's god of survival a bit imo.
Necrosan is a good addition I think, an alien god of death and plague I think it was and a forerunner for an invasion, not too close to diablo as a god of evil and vertigo as a god of insanity and magic

This. Necrosan is the foriegn element that would plague good and evil. Also vertigo was so cool of a design.

yeah, he works really well, probably because he was likely the stranger mentioned in most of the endings from 1, or so I believe
Vertigo is my favorite too, though all of the characters look cool. The claymation is top-notch and as I said any remake without it or really good cgi emulating the look wouldn't do it for me.
The idea of post-apocalyptic dinosaur gods is fucking gold

Oh man, a Trespasser that actually works could be something else.
