So my set up right now is Fencer (the class that's basically Fencer but with a new name) and Defender in the front, Zodiac, Medic, Gunner in the back, and I got fucked by the Blossombeast in the first dungeon cause I didn't have enough DPS

Well I wouldn't say it's the best, but it's a damn good game and I've been enjoying it immensely. I wish Arken was introduced a bit earlier though, the split between Lili's story and Arken's is somewhat abrupt.

It has hands down the worst class system in any game, it's even worse than 4 with its skill gating. The music is also super uninspired and the dungeons are all uninteresting up until the last two. Fuck V

Any party that has at least one of these:
Hero - your semi healer/tanker/buffer/attacker/ninja or make him your designated enemy remover
Gunner - your one stop, one shot sp hungry enemy deleter.
Sovereign - fuck healers, this one does it all except revive teammates.
Shogun - your designated attacker/buffer that gives 50% atk buffs with more aggro.
Protector - Makes your sissy squishy teammates survive otherwise lethal hits. Also has that one skill for OP attack.

I did Hero/Highlander front, Gunner, Sovereign back and a Harbinger that switched between the front and back depending on the situation. You can swap out Highlander with a Ronin, Nightseeker, Imperial or Shogun and still have a well rounded party.

Remakes definitely. 2 wouldn't hurt to go and try though, I've heard it's still a neat experience
