Controller pleb here. Can you prove the major advantage kb+m has over controllers? I'm firmly believe that its preference based

counter strike is such a shit game
also to compensate that m+kb is better developers have to put controller assist into games, because controllers are not as precise

You can just feel it user

controller lets you set a speed and direction for your crosshair to travel and has autoaim

m&k literally lets you move your crosshair with your mouse, you don't set a speed for the crosshair to travel you just move it at a certain speed

literally just try it?
I'd been a console only pleb for the first fourteen years of my life and played all my fpses on console (like killzone/2 or bad company 2) and then I finally got a pc and it took me maybe two weeks of playing on PC to completely annihilate any kinds of results I could get with a controller precision wise

if everyone else uses a gamepad then you're probably fine, but once you make the switch it's really, really hard and awkward to go back to playing with a controller

I forget when it was exactly but there were several lan tournaments that "tested" this in the early 2000s. I know PDXLAN did it at least once, i believe the game they used was counterstrike source but i may be off on the details.
It wasn't anything scientific, just matches between teams of kb+m and controllers.
It wasn't remotely close, kb+m was massive massive advantage.
This should have been obvious already and maybe your post is bait, but lots of people have wondered this before - mainly because people are dumb.
I know there was a halo "test" around the same time period and similar results.
You'll also notice there is no legitimate competition that mixes the categories. Ever. Because kb+m will destroy controller users every single time.

Controller sticks have to sacrifice speed for aiming precision or aiming precision for speed
Gyro helps with added precision, but it isn't even close to a mouse. Keyboard and mouse also have more total inputs so you ultimately have more control in most genres
For example, it is essentially impossible to do well in CS using a controller; it's a complete joke to suggest that it's just preference

consoletards have ruined the FPS genre
look at the level design of system shock 1 vs bioshock, console gamers get lost too easily because they have low iq so everything has to be a linear corridor
it's why they cant play games like arma too
inventories have to be dumbed down, so they cant play games like stalker either where inventory management and resource scavenging is a part of the gameplay, it's not just the mouse it's also not having dozens of different keys across a keyboard, they only have 4 buttons so console gamers need a gameplay wheel and auto healing
level design cant be open or mazelike, gameplay cant be fast or precise either, so forget about fast shooters like quake 3 as well
even cod1 multiplayer look super complex by post cod4 standards, since cod1 and 2 were pc only
games need autoaim because they're literal babbies, levels need to be smaller
bf had the bigger levels and for a while remained the pc alternative to cod popularity on console, well of course they ruined bf too
look at the tactical shooters, how all the tom clancy games like r6 and ghost recon progressively got more and more dumbed down to suit the console demographics, from complex pre mission planning and coop strategies etc to being turned into mindless corridor shooters, hell even the stealth genre with splinter cell has also been ruined
literally every genre, even previously popular on console genres are now too complex for consoles, horror with tank controls? too complex because it requires a functional iq to move

FPS e-sports players can always plug in a controller and use that, but they never do

CS is such a shitty game

Your retarded if you actually believe this. This post summed it up very well with KB&M you can aim extremely fast while still being precise. You end up trading off one for another and being able to do both on a controller somewhat well just comes down to knowing how to abuse aim assist.

That's no cope you seething faggot. That's what happens when console players don't have aim assist.

Filtered. Go bad to COD kiddie you aren't ready

>Your retarded
Ironic

you might as well just post a ms paint comic because showing bad players doing bad things does help.

Remember when Halo went to PC and the pro Xbox halo players went with their pads ans played the pc halo players with kbm? It was streamed and televised, and it was a fuckin slaughter.

With a mouse you can instantly snap to anywhere in a 360 degree axis with a single swipe. With a controller you have to push a tiny nub in a particular direction and wait for the game to "drag" it towards where you want to go, you don't even have access to the full 360 plane to play with you have a small surface area that you push the stick in and it turns. Imagine your thumbstick is like a globe, like there's a ball inside and when you push the stick say upwards the ball spins that way. You want to land on Antarctica. With a mouse, you just swipe and click on Antarctica like you had a picture of a globe on a screen, with a controller you push up until you reach where you want to go, it sucks.

Thumbsticks give you less than an inch of space in any direction to play with, and you can only use your thumb, while with a mouse you can set the sens right and have a full swipe from the center of your mousepad to the edge be a 180 degree turn. Like this you can intuitively know exactly what a movement of the mouse will do and develop muscle memory that transfers from game to game. Console games have aim acceleration, aim assist, and other shit baked in and you basically have to learn how each game aims on its own.

I've mostly been mentioning swiping but with a mouse you can do different kinds of movement easily. You can do tiny fast wiggles, quick swipes, slow drags, wrist snaps. Almost hit limit just get on any PC and move the mouse around and do different shit with it, you should immediately understand what I'm talking about. If you're a phoneposter kys yourself semi-ironically.

That's not irony. I bet you say "literally", too.

This.

That's true. I suppose it does take a retard to know one.

>xbox halo champions humiliated by casual pc players who just installed the game
oh no no no hahaha
pic related is the perfect analogy for pc vs console esport

i think inventories improved in general
i dont want to have to fuck around with a bunch of menus in a FPS, much less a multiplayer one. Games still have resource and inventory management, but moving items around is no longer an obstacle

but the the rest of the points are correct

techspot.com/news/39738-microsoft-killed-cross-platform-project-because-pc-gamers-wrecked-console-gamers.html

besides, there are many examples, and your image is one of them.
back on PS3, they tried the newer CSGO. it just didn't take off because twitch-movement/reflexes can't actually be emulated on a controller. i've tried it myself when i plugged in my controller onto my computer

>deflection-to-velocity vs 1:1 movement
such proof is trivial and thus left to the reader

Counter Strike aka ME USE AWP ME GOOD

I am guessing this happened when it was first ported to PC by Gearbox? The aim assist in the MCC is really crazy
