2019 was a horrible year for profit margins at Ubisoft, Division 2 failed to meet expectations and GR Breakpoint was rushed out the door to poor reception and sales that hurt the company even harder

forgive me as I'm not knowledgeable about business, but are we sure this isn't just a temporary result of ubisoft not having release dates for anything in the fiscal year yet whereas cyberpunk is set in stone? I can imagine this will change if assassin's creed, watch dogs, tom clancy's whatever the fuck release before april 2021

I imagine a lot of that is because of GOG. Ubisoft doesn't have a successful store platform, much less one that sells games other people make as well as their own.

Also, for those that aren't aware, CD Projekt owns GOG. CDPR is just part of their business. They started as a publisher before they even set up a dev studio.

Purge the diversity hires and their politics. Then focus on making decent games again.
