Good game design is still being hindered by "muh graphics"

>Good game design is still being hindered by "muh graphics"
When will the graphicwhoring stop and devs will again concentrate on making good games?
I don't care for muh 50 million triangles

Neither of these are good games so I'm not really sure what your point is. The top is just a more polished turd than the one at the bottom.

That's one shitty artstyle lol why is it so green

>quarantine so long you forgot the color of grass

cope. there's no excusing shit graphics for multi billion dollar companies.

IDK lol do you live on lime planet?

Tbh witcher is clunky as fuck.

I bet you bitch that indie games look like shit

user, it's 2020.

It's time for the graphics plateau to end, people want rapid graphical leaps, like from n64 to gamecube

>I bet you bitch that indie games look like shit
I don't know if HK counts as indie but I liked it

its made by three? australians, that's pretty indie

for some reason, assmad pleblits trashtalk the graphics of this game all the time. my guess is that they're sour indie developers or that they thought the comfy graphics would mean the game would be easy and then got filtered at hornet

This reminds me weirdly of the bowls of skeletons that sell you items in Bloodborne
> TFW you walk up to this guy and buy magic elven equipment from him

With the widespread use of prepackaged engines like Unreal, developers probably have to spend less time agonizing on "making" games look good than they've ever had to. So congrats OP, you got your wish.

the monkey in the pond in Sekiro

that should have been true since 2003 then
it isn't

When good graphics stop selling. So, never.

Unity and Unreal have gotten massively better and more widespread than before though. Prior to this gen Unreal was only for major publishers that cut backroom deals for it and Unity was dogshit that no one used. Now both of them have a free tier and are reasonably decent.

A game has to look at least decent for me to enjoy it. My favourite games have great visuals as well as gameplay.

No open world games would break my top 50.

Can I like both Witcher 3 and BotW or is illegal now?

Games need to have a good artstyle to be good, but not photorealistic graphics. There are plenty of Gamecube games that still look good today.

If you like either one you're a faggot, which is illegal in 71 countries
