What is the st. anger of vidya?

DmC: Devil may Cry. It's a serviceable action game marred by being in a franchise it's trying to mock. Literally just make it a new IP and it would've been alright.

Borderlands the pre sequel. It plays pretty much like the rest of the series, even improved some things, but the lack of things like raid bosses and the ability to farm loot make it the worst in the franchise, not counting the Telltale game.

I almost forgot. I actually like the snare honestly. There's a trashy sound to the album that I actually really like, and the snares are a part of that. It's definitely some of Metallica's worst but it's far from bad.

st. anger is literally fantastic and would've been considered a masterpiece had it been an album made by literally any other band

I-III just had this cohesive creative vision that culminated in perfection with III. Few TBS games come close to the quality present in all aspects of that game. I'm in the "IV was horrible" camp so I won't discuss it.
V breathed new life into the series, but that comfortable, recognizable feeling of "Yeah, this is a HoMM game" just isn't there. The quality and polish aren't on the same level. The random map generator is a joke, the AI is awful and takes obnoxiously long turns, balance is all over the place, and bugs are plentiful. The art direction went from fantasy realism to Saturday morning cartoon, which for me is a negative.
The game survives because V cannibalizes the core gameplay loop of HoMM, but it doesn't do anything better than the previous games and often comes up short in comparison. All in all it's a decent, playable game, but it pales in comparison to the 3DO/NWO entries.

St.anger would be god tier if Lars didn't use a walmart trash can as the snare.

HoMM 3 is one of the best games ever made

I put maybe 30 minutes into 6 and I never touched 7. I don't consider them "true" HoMM games. There are no redeeming qualities. All they did was remove more things that made the earlier entries good, while trying to substitute new (terrible) systems that didn't work/had no place in a HoMM game. Ubisoft didn't deserve this series, and the series didn't deserve Ubisoft.
If you like 5, try 3. If you like 3, try 2. You really owe it to yourself to at least play 3, it's one of my top 10 games of all time. I hope you have fun.

absolutely listen to this guy do NOT under any circumstances get the HD version. It's an absolute scam and made me hate Ubisoft even more than I did previously. It's an incomplete garbage edition of the game and the "upscaled graphics" are a 5-minute airbrush hackjob. They look terrible compared to the original. Avoid at all costs. Fuck Ubisoft.
