"Future Connected” can be completed in 10 to 12 hours if you play the story alone, and in around 20 hours if you include side content
Monolith Soft’s First Production staff was divided into three sections: one section to work on Xenoblade: Definitive Edition, one to work on a new title, and one to work on both.
While character graphics were not the best in the original version, they have been improved in Xenoblade: Definitive Edition.
Since this is a remaster, Monolith Soft was not able to re-record all the music with an orchestra. Instead, they improved the quality and rearranged it.
Data compression is better mitigated and sound quality more enhanced compared to Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
This from dialy twitter update or did the Takahashi interview come out?
Alexander Hill
How many retards are going to scream and shit their pants when even Takahashi says its a remaster
Justin Barnes
>Takahashi saying he'd be open on doing a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Definitive Edition someday
BASED
Matthew Rivera
Everyone western outlet is linking to that one japanese site that summarized the interview so I am guessing the issue is not out yet
Lucas Reyes
They even write "thanks trannyera" in their posts lmao
Nathaniel Baker
Are you ready for KINOBLADE CHRONICLES anons? I'm ready.
Xavier Williams
Should I play with the original OST or the orchestrated OST in Definitive Edition? I never played the original game.
Aaron Ross
>10-20 hours of cucking Melia May be good.
Gavin Ward
Original ost option is here for only for contrarian retards
Leo Flores
Is that really all he said in the interview?
Charles James
>"Future Connected” can be completed in 10 to 12 hours if you play the story alone, and in around 20 hours if you include side content They said something similar about Torna and I 100%'d it in half the time they claimed.
So going by that metric, 5-7 hrs for the story and 10 to 100%.
Chase Hill
>Do I play with compressed audio or uncompressed audio?
Gee I dunno user what do you think?
Dominic James
I can't believe how excited I get every time a bit of news comes out for a game I've already bought and played a bunch of times.
Am I correctly assuming that this pic is by the Ar Tonelico artist?
Parker Cook
>Monolith Soft’s First Production staff was divided into three sections: one section to work on Xenoblade: Definitive Edition, one to work on a new title, and one to work on both. Not like this XCXbros...
>Not like this XCXbros... They worked on X before too, no?
Lucas Torres
Wait, why does she have chicken wings in her head?
Jackson Morgan
I'm in the same boat. I love jrpgs, but this past decade has been mostly complete trash for them. XC was one of the very few that I enjoyed as much as older ones.
Xenoblade: DE staff might be developing a new remasters in the future.
Eli Hernandez
This is actually the only one I haven't played that I hear is supposed to be everything fans wanted.
Joshua Thompson
Ah right. I hope that Mira translation website translates the whole thing.
Nathan Morgan
I doubt it. It seems like after they've finished tidying up Definitive Edition, they might go to full production on this new title.
Asher Roberts
These official estimates are always made with casual play in mind, not pseudo-speedrunning, blitz from one checkpoint to the other to see how fast you can get it over with.
Jaxson Brooks
Is this really surprising, given how half baked it was in specific areas? Especially when it comes to actual game mechanics that felt like they were going to be more prevalent. Like, the Cloud Sea Level.
Easton Sanchez
he never said that
Nathaniel Harris
I hope they don't re-record Mechonis Field, it's supposed to sound synth as fuck and I don't want it other way.
Kayden Perez
I think that's a pretty fair estimate, and besides.. the average player likely isn't going to be attempting to do anything speed run related on their first playthrough.
Camden Ward
>While character graphics were not the best in the original version, they have been improved in Xenoblade: Definitive Edition.
Literally false.
Joshua Mitchell
They remastered every song. We've known for months that they re-recorded 90+ songs, which is just about the entirety of the OST.
>their faces don't look super low res and painted in >they actually have fingers Yes.
Charles Thomas
The new title IS the X remaster
Leo Hall
2のキャラクターグラフィックもいつかでるかもしれないリマスター版で変えてほしかったり。
Samuel Garcia
I don't see the point of having this discussion every thread. The general consensus is that the models have been improved heavily, and only the slim minority of people truly complain about this. It's especially hard to take it seriously on this board of all things, when 99% of the arguments boil down to "soul/soulless", and cherrypicked comparison screenshots. There's more important things to discuss in regards to the game, over soul soulless take #100000000.
Just for you, user, I'll translate the rest of the bullet points of the interview not mentioned here yet. Outside of the stuff already talked about here, the FC stuff can be played right off the title screen without clearing the main game, and he said that they could have added more content via DLC, but that would take away resources from the new title so they won't do it. The rest has all been mentioned in this thread. Also, the 10-12 hour estimate is how long he spent on it himself.
Christopher Cox
That wouldn't be a new project, though. I find it hard to believe that X would be getting worked on so soon anyway, since past interviews indicated that whenever it returned, it would probably be given a remake treatment.
Julian Ortiz
Have the devs stated anywhere that the new soundtrack is stored losslessly? If so that's just a waste of space they could use for more important things, considering how many songs are in the game.
Hunter Sullivan
It's too early to be XC3
Logan Bell
I know you don't actually know a word of Japanese, but that line is from a single blog where the blogger himself is talking about stuff he wanted. That's not a quote from Takahashi. The かな at the end of the line before it should clue you into that. These threads need to stop pretending they know moon.
Anthony Hall
According to what metric? By the time XB3 is announced, it'll likely be around 2021/2022 at the latest. That'll have been a 5 to 6 year gap from XB2's release.
Carson Anderson
Yeah sure let's just make every game look like generic anime game #235. Also, if everyone agreed that jumping off a cliff with no parachute or bungee cable is fun and you should do it, would you still do it?
That's literally what is happening here. "New graphic good cuz new! Old graphic bad cut OLD!"
Jayden Barnes
XBC1 fans hate having their series considered coomer bait, right? How do these fans feel now that millions are going to coom to their game, I wonder,,,,
