It's cool. Razor Wind is my favorite weapon.

sneeds of evil

Zig Forums does not like Turok

When i was a kid the opening video terrified me

The platforming in Turok was literally the precursor to Metroid Prime. The same devs even. Preddy cool

How is there no Turok movie yet?

Turok was a AAA comic book game before comic books were cool.

dinosaur game ?

I wish you didn't get it so late in the game.

yes

hell yeah

i got the HD remaster of Turok 2 on Steam and was blown away by how much better the movement is
i put like a 100 hours into it on the N64
playing like this at 144hz was just stunning and i probably enjoyed it more than Doom 2016

think they added more light to the lair of the blind ones. jesus god finding the key in the water tunnel was a bitch on a small tv back in the day. also hive of the mantids has a really gay hidden key behind a wall at the end. other then that its a wicked fucking game.

this game is a masterpiece tainted only by one level. You know which one.

I
AM
TOO ROCK

the last three all have some bad parts desu

I have this and the first game on Switch, but I'm going through the first game before I get to 2. I went ahead and bought 2 because it was on sale at the time.

There was though. Turok: Son of Stone from 2008. It's animated, but still pretty good.

nu/v/ would hate turok because they can't do even the simplest of platforming and there isn't a huge arrow showing you exactly where to go and mission objectives telling you exactly what to do the whole time

That game was incredible

Shame they ruined in The seqyels

soul

Rage War remaster fucking when? I loved the shit put of that game as a kid.

Loved it. There was that saurian in the village. Big one that jumped out of a pit. Scared the shit out of me as a boy.

It's a damn shame what they did to this series with that fucking awful 2008 reboot and I still feel like it's the reason we haven't seen anything from Turok since. Sad thing is the dinos looked pretty good but the gameplay and story were complete ass.

It's a weird thing.

>what have I become

The platforming is imprecise garbage. I remember pirating the Turok 1 remaster and immediately dropping the game after finishing that platforming tutorial section. If the game is gonna be filled with this imprecise and janky crap, then I wasn't gonna play it.

>imprecise
>janky
m8? The game is smooth are silk and jumping is stupid easy, especially with the map function.

It's lame but I can honestly understand the idea behind it. Only talking about the N64 version because that was the original design and teleporting between save points in the remaster makes a lot of what I'm about to say moot. It was meant to make revisiting stages for the Primagen keys much easier by giving you a weapon with infinite ammo that one shots most enemies if it makes any contact with them, the only downside is the return time if you whiff a throw. At a minimum you need to revisit the Hive of the Mantids because you need the talisman from there to get the Primagen key at the very end of the level. This means on the N64 version you need to replay the entire stage. If you hadn't already gone back for them you might need to replay parts of other levels as well. Essentially it was designed specifically to make the key hunt less tedious by giving you an overpowered weapon so you could steamroll through any enemies.

If you were talking about the N64 version I would agree but sounds like you just suck shit the platforming in the remaster is fine but that's not the entire game. It does have a few annoying section like the end of level 3 though. Turok 2 almost entirely removes it though and you can probably count on one hand the amount of times you need to make a precise jump with the threat of instant death.

Even jumping on N64 isn't that hard as long as you look down while doing it
