Most alien horror stories are not strictly stories about survival, they are about fighting off an invasion and paranoia about not being able trust your fellow man, so you aren't going to get a traditional survival game with aliens in the mix.

Good question. I'd like to see something like The McPherson Tape translated into a video game, but I have the feeling it would turn into just a scary walking sim. Still, it would be pretty spooky.
