Yeah, the shit going down in Raravoss is fucking amazing.

Haven't played in 7 years

youtube.com/watch?v=sncoxTaUsZw

I played it couple years ago and it was completely rotten at that point
>Half of population is chink bots
>CCP tolerates bots because they bring revenue
>All large formations sit on extreme amounts of assets and therefore have too much to lose for actual all out wars to be possible
>Sov null is safer than high sec
>Currency and resource economy gets constantly inflated because of this and bots
>Due to how safe game was made by retarded game design decision since citadel update, it is extremely hard to catch someone who isn't a retard and therefore there's much less pvp than there used to be
>Game is basically carebear simulator where you compete with chink bot on who farms faster, or alternatively you can try to hit some faggots on sov null farms but space owner will drop 50 supers on you
Game requires truly radical measures to be fixed, however CCP has proven that they have absolutely no balls to do anything that will displease carebears and chink botters so it's just there, rotting slowly and earning some money for gooks who bought it while there are still people who pay subscription.

better devs just need to make an EVE 2 or equivalent. EVE has tons of potential but it seems like the devs aren't doing much but trying to keep a troubled ship afloat and aren't particularly good at that. I can't speak for the Triglavian stuff though, I haven't played since the abyssal deadspace stuff was new although I thought that was an interesting direction. Is the PvE getting better? I realize it's not the core of the game but the pathetic missions and generally retarded AI wasn't helping to keep the game world fresh

Citadels have caused more problems then they fixed, it should be hard to live in Nulsec/Wormholes, not safe and easy, because of this fucking everyone moved into wormholes because the ezmode logistics means that its the safest way to play EVE now

And despite the moon mining changes this was actaully a detriment to PVP, not a boon to it. Any form of passive money income is worth fighting over, especially something that requires you to invest 2b in harvesting and reacting equipment just to profit from, now that you have to mine from your own moons you're less inclined to conquer those moons, which is a source of conflict, and are instead more inclined to keep as many moons as you're willing to protect the mining operations for, which allows for the larger player empires to pretty much turtle up and get fat on mining and drop supers on any mining gankers.

The instanced PVE is kind of shitty because its kind of the antithesis of what EVE is about, a shared world every lives in, but abyssal stuff is 100% purely instanced and out of all the new PVE content they've added in the past few years abyssal deadspace stuff was the fastest shit to crash.

Now the Triglavian invasion stuff, that shit is fucking amazing, and the Triglavians just turned the first highsec system in EVE lowsec for the first time, and the system has become a bloodbath.

yeah the invasion sounds more like the direction I was hoping they would go, with taking the newer more interesting AI and making it less of an isolated activity-- is that pretty much what the invasion is? If so I might try to get in on it

Star Citizen unironically

CCP fucked up becoming the EVE company versus cashing in on "I want to play EVE but..."

>moon mining
Thinks for reminding me about this shit because I forgot about it. It's not just about passive income, in fact passive income isn't even biggest part of it. Moons with expensive mats used to define system as valuable, they were one of few factors that made particular space worth fighting for, next to security rating and convenience of its location. Now it's gone, equalized random shit everywhere, squat happy on your claim faggots.
>Used to be thing that both enabled more pvp-focused activities through its passive income, and encouraged them as reward in itself
>Now pve activity that will make you feel like a bot and no longer contains anything worth fighting for
CCP game design in a nutshell lmao.

You can lump me in with the crowd who likes the idea of but has less fun playing.
I haven't played it in like 6 years tho.
Is it possible to jump in catch up enough to kill people or be useful without 8 hour days?
and yeah i'd love it if star citizen was half of what they promise but i don't have faith at all and there's no way i'm going to shell out for early access or pretend spaceships. Feels like a scam for whales.
If it ever comes out and is good i'd be stoked for sure.

nah, SC isn't at all what I would be looking for in a game similar to EVE. I'd be looking basically for EVE except with a bit more depth in certain areas. I was interested in SC in the early days but lost interest as it seemed to be going nowhere and honestly shaping up to be sort of boring, all things considered

I haven't played in like a year, but I think it depends on who you end up with. There are lots of corps who welcome newbies as cannon fodder and if you end up joining small gang stuff you can always end up flying tackle, at least you'll be actually helping until your inevitable death

I played with the Zig Forums corporation from Jan 2009 till around 2016. 2009-2012 was fucking amazing. We were literally the incarnation of quality vs. quantity, shitting on alliances of 5,000 players while having maybe 120 people in our alliance, brought up to about 250 when you added their alts as well. The problem is that due to CCP being retarded faggots, they raised the amount of habitable 0.0 space by 3fold, while the playerbase was steadily declining.

0.0 was great because it was musical chairs, where if your alliance got to sat on a chair for a while you got fucking PAID. Then someone bumps you off the chair and you seethe for a bit but get ready to find a new chair to sit on. When CCP made the changes, they just added 3x as many chairs, and turned all the chairs from super comfy LA-Z-boys into those shitty folding chairs used for events. Everybody who was anybody could have a seat. There was no point in getting a better seat, because the difference between the best and worst seats might be about 50-80%, whereas beforehand it was more like 2500%. There were more chairs than there were players who wanted to sit in the chair, so no one fought over the chairs anymore. The game has been dead for about 5 years now due to this which sucks cause it was the best game I had ever played in my life.

Yeah, and the moon mining changes pretty much killed lowsec outside of site flipping in faction warfare and ganking explorers.

I really committed to it when Omega came out; really like everything about EVE except the actual core shooty mecanics
Also the rock paper scissors resist system is not well thought out; pvpers already have a big scouting advantage over someone not doing pvp, to then also have a resists system make it even more in favor of the pvper is pretty dumb

Really wish someone would copy the auction house / market system, contracts system, world pvp, and quest spawner system

Buy Isogen and get in Raravoss right now.

There are lots of very cheap and effective ships you can fly. Some of the most powerful crowd control ships. (Like the Crucifier) can cost under 1million ISK (less than 1 cent) and be effective in a few days. Which can completely shutdown a turbo-virgin 15 year old players expensive ship (Muninn) etc.

If you're a heal-slut you can be effective in a very short time with the T1 cruiser logi and pretty much everyone will take you. There are also many other suicide tackle/cannon fodder ships that are useful.

I just realized that it is really unique true MMO.
>they changed Russian sub price because USfags abused VPN for $10 discount
I hate you greedy faggots

>Shad

This. Game needs to be reset completely to 2006-2007 to be worth playing.

Doubt you can even fight chinks bots. They're everywhere in every online game.

They actually did a huge wave of bans recently.

CCP has done a decent job of removing the bots recently desu. You used to see bots in almost every region of the game, especially some such as Period Basis, Fade, Omist, Branch, Drone Lands etc. It used to take them about 5-6 weeks to deal with obvious bot VNIs, now they tend to disappear within a few days.

I roam nullsec daily for PVP and the difference is really night and day. Before I would go maybe 10-12 jumps before I would encounter an obvious bot system where 4-5 keyboardfaceslam named VNIs would instantly warp to a citadel on entering. Now I really don't see them all that often, and when I do, I report them and they get jannie'd within a few days and CCP gives you an email too.

According to the stats provided by CCP, botting ISK has dropped to 1/5th of what it was, and I think that is accurate from my personal experience.

If only they could do something about intel bots.

BRING BACK BLACKOUT.

Dont worry, the game is dying at a very rapid pace, just look at the amount of users now to what it was a few years ago

Yeah fuck Near2 they really need a solution for this shit.

I tried playing it for a month, eventually grew tired of all the gankers one shotting me
I also had no desire playing or advancing through the game when someone who has several years on skills can just one shot my ship
