Why do people still pretend Xenoblade is better than FF12?
Xenoblade >only able to equip 9 arts at the same time >can't control my AI partners >can't switch characters on the fly >can't switch equipment in battle >can't switch arts in battle >basically the waiting game until my party gauge activates
FFXII >Over 100 skills available at all times to use >Can control my AI partners and give them custom commands >Can switch characters instantly inside and outside battle >Can give direct commands to every character without even having to switch >Can switch equipment in battle >Can switch skills in battle immediately >The actual battle is not about waiting for a gauge to fill out
People lash on to the smallest shit to shitpost. Just play FF12 if you like FF12. Why do you need confirmation? You can kind of control your AI, but only with simple command as Focus, Follow and do whatever.
Both are boring ass single player MMOs. At least Xeno has a compelling story going for it.

Not OP but FF12 is definitely better since the combat isn't complete shit despite using similar systems and isn't a empty open world walking sim.
Daniel Young
>colony 9 Nigger that's still the tutorial
Julian Brooks
No
Zachary Cooper
What you're saying is the exact opposite.
Charles Richardson
This is FFXII-kun sperging out. Laugh at another Barry tier autist.
I'd only argue FF12 has a better OST and even then I'd probably lose the argument. Xenoblade is better in every other area. Xenoblade at least forces you to do combat.
Grayson Carter
see for the reason
Luis Robinson
really? the music? that's what's arguable? the shitstain FF12 soundtrack that has the worst OST of the entire series vs the angelic compositions in XC? you're right on the other aspects, XC is an upgraded FF12 in every regard
Chase Williams
who is even comparing these two games also, why are you autistic
John Wilson
Not at all. >you get to choose how you want to play FFXII from full manual control to full automation >You can change characters during battle >You can change your party during battle >You can use your reserve party even if your main party died >"it's bad"
>Xenoblade forces you to play one (1) character while knowing your AI-controlled characters are not even at 25% of the full damage potential they can deliver >Impossible to change character during battle >Impossible to change your party during battle >agility stacking completely ruin the game >the most viable strategy is the topplelock which breaks the game in half >Melia's AI is so pants-on-fire stupid that you are forced to use her or you lose 50% of your max DPS >You're forced to give them the same order for 50 hours if you want your AI party members to even do anything because they won't use AOE abilities against single target despite increasing their DPS >"it's good"
Xenoblade does not even have half of the options offered by FF12's combat. Xeno is literal MMO shit down to overpowered enemies that scales to the level discrepancy you have. The limited abilities offered at all times during battle are minuscule. The delusion is unreal.
Aaron Bailey
>control characters in ff12 >do one or two actions at most almost all times
>control one character in xenoblade >do 8 arts + talent art at all times >deal with vision mechanic >positioning actually matters >there's an actual aggro system instead of casting decoy on the tank and letting loose >can use a bar to use a specific ability in a pinch >chain attacks are actually functional unlike the trash that is quickenings >arts are far more varied and do more than the entire skill/spell roster in FF12 >CC on top of statuses >tension system >affinity system >environment and where you fight matters, getting walled reduces your DPS on positionals as well as taking falls into consideration (both for party members and enemies)
hopes this helps you understand why FF12 is a shitstain game while xenoblade revitalized its series. Remember this when someone says "FFX was the last final fantasy" for the 1000000th time
Oliver Jenkins
>control one character in xenoblade Which is inferior to controlling multiple characters and parties >>do 8 arts + talent art at all times Which doesn't compare to the amount of options FF12 has. Lets not even talk about half the arts are redundant swaps since they just do DPS and healing is worthless >deal with vision mechanic A worthless gimmick >positioning actually matters It doesn't at all lmao. 5% bonus damage doesn't make positioning matter >there's an actual aggro system A bad where due to the garbage AI unless you play as the tank, no one can do their job properly. In fact the DPS fucks up too. >can use a bar to use a specific ability in a pinch Inferior to not being able to contol multiple characters >chain attacks are actually functional I too love having to grind affinity to make chain attacks last even more than one round so it completely based on rng! Good game design! >arts are far more varied Lol they all fall into direct damage and the ones that don't like the pointless status effects outside of toppling and haste is worthless. >CC on top of statuses Same as FFXI >tension system >qtes at the start of every battle >good >affinity system Kill yourself if you like grinding >environment and where you fight matters They don't at all.
Tyler Sullivan
>Which is inferior to controlling multiple characters and parties not when controlling a single character is more fun than 6 >Which doesn't compare to the amount of options FF12 has. Lets not even talk about half the arts are redundant swaps since they just do DPS and healing is worthless there are less options in each battle in FF12 than xenoblade's 8 arts, there are no battles that use more than 8 different spells. The only swaps are light heal with heal bullet >A worthless gimmick it balances the game around enemies doing huge damage that requires strategic work around >It doesn't at all lmao. 5% bonus damage doesn't make positioning matter dumbfuck, try playing the game, entire enemy attacks have different AoE patterns in addition to buffs and additional effects (not just bonus DPS) applying on positionals >Garbage AI unless you play as the tank, no one can do their job properly. In fact the DPS fucks up too. tanks hold aggro at all time, if you spam arts without reason that's on you. Did you expect this to play like 12's decoy? you have to use your brain in XC unlike 12 >Inferior to not being able to contol multiple characters see first point >I too love having to grind affinity you get affinity naturally playing the game, the base chain attack is better than quickenings anyway. Way to avoid the point >Lol they all fall into direct damage and the ones that don't like the pointless status effects outside of toppling and haste is worthless. wrong again, dunban's and fiora's abilities are reliant on unique situations to occur, melia's double as burst damage or party wide auras depending on how you use them. Riki is a grab bag. >same as FFXI much better actually >Kill yourself if you like grinding you don't grind for those, tension system isn't limited to the QTE at the start stupid >They don't at all. they literally do and I explained why, no argument
ff13 would be considered good to retard based on combat alone. Literally more refined than the usual single selection.
Samuel Torres
There's not variety or strategy, the only character that plays different is besides Melia due to her art selection being unique? Shulk is a DPS, Reyn is a tank, Sharla is a Healer, Dunban is a DPS, Riki is a DPS + healing, Fiora is a DPS. The all play virtually the same since damage is the only thing that matters and its what everyone contributes to. You just stack agility while constantly toppling the enemy. That's it. It's insanely braindead and boring. Where's the fun >there are less options in each battle in FF12 than xenoblade's 8 arts There are no options in Xenoblade. The lives and dies on topple and applying that much damage on it. >it balances the game You topple the enemy so they don't kill you. Wow, so strategic. The vision mechanic in any game, its called stopping them before they make a attack. It's a literal braindead gimmick. >dumbfuck, try playing the game Did, and it literally just damage bonus. Braindead shit. >tanks hold aggro at all time Objectively wrong, due to the awful AI, Reyn (the only tank) will never hold aggro. If you control one healer in FFXII and your two remaining characters are DPS characters, the damage output from the DPS characters would be the same as if you controlled a DPS thanks to the gambit system. If you control Sharla in Xenoblade, you lose 50% of your damage output because your DPS teammates are dumb as rocks. It's not hard to understand. >see first point Controlling different characters is better than being locked to a single character with no build variety. Shulk will always be Physical DPS Reyn will always be an HP tank Dunban will always be an insane DPS, with the highest agility stat in the game Sharla will always be a dedicated healer and a subpar party member Melia will always be your Ether DPS. >you get affinity naturally It takes tons of grinding until you can have chain attacks that come out consistently. Even worse is they refull your arts, which allows you to break the game in half.
Isaiah Bell
>XII >bland characters, forgettable setting, basic starwars story >need a grid sphere to wear a hat, no customizing party looks, all default clothing sucks
>Xenoblade >interesting characters, beautiful environments, approachable xeno-story >great variety in gear, changes in gear represented on model
Man Xenoblade is just better overall
Brandon Cooper
>He thinks he can topple any enemy easily >He thinks Reyn is the only tank >Using Sharla at all
