Aces is less shit and it also has Rosalina
This was my favourite scathing review of it

>"I mean it when I say 'Mario Tennis Ultra Smash' on the Wii U is a monumental cauldron of shite."
Aces is in fact the exact same game but with different gimmicks and some different textures for the stadiums.
Aces is an excuse to rerelease the game with new textures and a new gimmick that absolutely breaks the game
I would do the same user
>A-and the characters get REAL BIG, isn't that a f-fun gameplay gimmick? What more could you need?
and giantess mode doesn't break the game?
Aces has great gameplay and more content but it was still somewhat undercooked. They need to try one more time to get back to N64/GC era.
What about it? I'm talking about Aces you sperg.
I hate video game reviewers
it's barely an improvement
they added more characters and have actual different stadiums but it still suffers from a lack of content just like ultra smash, where there's fuck-all to do outside of regular tennis
I don’t get it, we had an adventure mode, we had mini games, we had online events
What the fuck did you want?
what fucking minigames
did i miss something because i thought the only thing this game added through updates was more characters, maybe i'm a dumbass
Why does she even wear shoes if she just floats everywhere. She should just go bare foot haha
they added online minigames (can play them offline), skins for the different characters and some new challenges in adventure mode
Adventure mode had minigames (sadly not playable outside of it) and they added some post launch as well
Off the top of my head
>Ring Shot
>Online Co-Op mini-games
>Unlockable Alternate Costumes
>Expanded Adventure Mode
>Online Doubles
>New Characters
>A New Intro
It's like Kirby Star Allies where the game was shit on release, but then it got loads of stuff added in post for free which makes the game more worth of its pricetag. Online is still active too so you can still give all that stuff a crack if you want.
New Mario Golf and Baseball fucking when.
Fuck that. I want a new Strikers game by NLG.
I want to be shoved in giantess Peach's panties
Too bad
Why not all three?
Notice how all the "same game new gimmick" shitposters entirely ignored this post. Fuck this board.
Of course they would. You expect them to admit thier wrongs? Silly goose
Huh. I played Aces with a friend at launch and it was really barebones, I didn't know that they added all that stuff. I just wish ND Cube have Super Mario Party the same treatment and gave it some better boards.
Power Tennis was the best Mario Tennis
After how much better Aces got, I was baffled that SMP didn't get a single fuckign content update after it's utterly barebones launch. SPM is decent, but 4 small boards and 0 options to change parties sucks massively. Aces went from mediocre with good gameplay to the best tennis game outside the RPG duo. SMP was so fuckign disappointing, especially since it had some neat ideas.
Yeah, for whatever reason, Nintendo has been into drip feeding content into its games. While its nice that new content is eventually added, it also is baffling as to why they wouldn't have had it in from the get go.
The minigames in Super were great, I'll give them that. But the boards sucked big time, they were all way too cramped with the special dice that everyone got. All it needed was better boards, making the coins less valuable, and people would be foaming at the mouth about how Mario Party is back to its glory days on the GameCube.
Why was the middle-late era of the Wii U so stale? I don’t use the term casual often, but even casuals were probably bored shitless for their barebones line of games at the time
I'll be honest, if the smaller boards wouldn't bother me if the other issues weren't present. Smaller AND fewer boards? Fucking horseshit. Unique die were a great addition, and it has the best roster in the series, but it got muddied up by allies being added as a mechanic that breaks the game entirely. Coins being too plentiful and everything costing so few coins might not be bad on their own, but combined it just means that everyone can always get the best of everything, taking tension and planning away from an already luck focused series. Losing minigames means nothing. And in addition to it all, not being able to just say "I want to play for more turns" or "I want to play with or without certain options" is fuckign garbage, even the goddamn original had 8 boards and turn/bonus options.
