I tried the free trial and it just feels like a very pretty version of retail wow. Is it worth buying the full game for the end-game content or does it stay the same daily chore grindfest later on? No, I don't have any friends.

The story itself is worth it, even if you were to quit the game as soon as you reached endgame the money spent would be worth it, you have atleast 100 hours of main story.

Miqote are so well done it's insane. I play elezen male but jesus christ it's no competition between the races, it's for a reason miqote are so popular:
They are a unique race in MMOs available to a western audience. Their body proportions and height feel natural with the animations. They even animated their tails and ears into emotes. They also fit in a final fantasy while still being humanoid so one can easily relate, yet feel unique. They are compatible with armor sets, some tail clipping issues only. They also get access to all hairstyles, hats and even their fucking ears and tails change with haircolour!
Now look at elezen, lalafell or roegadyn. They fill the typical archetypes of elves, gnomes and orcs. You have those in all MMOs. Elezen get weird elongated limbs that make them feel very alien and awkward. Anything bigger than a miqote or human feels like it has an odd movement speed proportional to the size of your fucking legs too.
Aura is a good contender if you don't want to play as a human. Problem with aura is that they just feel lazily done. I feel like they tried to give the miqote audience an alternative. They look good only in certain armoursets. I think it's mostly due to their scales having a set colour of either light or dark. The scales themselves either don't look good with most of the armour, save for those sets where youre going for a succubus look or a dark knight armour, really. And for some reason the body size difference is HUGE among the aura genders.
Don't get me started on viera either, too long to be sexy, no unlockable hair nor hats. Hrothgar would be based but the customization options suck, they suffer from the problems with big bodies on a movespeed designed for humans and the furrytrope is already done with miqote.

why be a generic human or miquote when you can be an Amazon?

lorewise its because of the lack of available female mates. not many female hrothgar are born. only female miqo'te will mate with a chad male.

not really. the lack of hairstyle turned away alot of players and many switched back to a different race. It's still pretty high despite that limitation though.

Seeker miqo'te need to prove themselves to be capable fighters since they need to challenge a tribe's Nuhn to replace them. Keeper males are a bit different, but seeing how dangerous Eorzea can be, the fact they can survive at least implies they are strong.They t least need to present the females food they hunted themselves if they are to welcomed

I never understood why this is a problem for people. The game has 4 face options you can't change major features of. EVERYONE looks just like everyone else.

Highlanders still have a D cup by their own guesstimation but roe stacies still have the biggest overall.
