I’m a 6th grade English teacher. I’ve been doing zoom meetings with my kids and will be finishing up the year this week. Guess how I knew FNAF was coming to the switch. Guess how many years I’ve heard my students obsess over FNAF. Now I am dreading next school year because it’s all the kids will talk about again. This and Bendy and the ink machine. Like....what’s the appeal of jump scare games? It’s not innovative and if I wanted to be scared, I’d turn to Resident Evil series before FNAF or Bendy. Oh I also forgot kids are obsessed over baldy’s basics and slenderman. Slenderman which has been out for a decade is still obsessed over by the little autists. Anyone feel my pain?
I’m a 6th grade English teacher...
>what’s the appeal of jump scare games?
The lore, particularly the mystery aspects.
children have shit taste
kids are attracted to colorful edgy characters
For me, it's Roommates...
No mom! See it's not weird that I still keep a stuffed animal collection in middle school, these characters are really violent and cool!
Slenderman and fnaf?
did you double check to make sure that the kids don't have any tendency to get lost or commit suicide?
Scott hid a goldmine, and boy, he grasped it with both hands.
Hee purple guy heee heeee I read on the internet this is actually a true story and that blue and white guy murdered people and stuffed them with stuffing at Chuck E. Cheese true story on the playground hee hee!!!!! It’s shit lore and it’s a shit game.
Didn't read but
>zoom
I hope you installed on a dummy computer, otherwise enjoy your chinese spyware lmao
Youtube and let’s players hopping on the bandwagon of screaming in front of webcam are to blame for these shitty trends.
Haddock is the best boy
OP here. It’s not a few particular kids. It’s all of them. Back in my day autists used to be obsessed over Sonic. Now Sonic is too mainstream and cool so now people love poorly made jump scare mechanic games.
>I’m a 6th grade English teacher
Why?
You wouldn’t believe the argument I got into with a kid who actually believed Jaystation met the real life tooth fairy.....
>The private vid Nintendo put some days ago turned to be the trailer of help wanted.
But they already put that vid before...and delete it, why?
Wow, its like some surface level shit that.. A 6th grader may enjoy. Really activates the almonds, huh?
Because I wanted to do something good with my life and not be a minimum wage towny? The benefits package is great. Pay is great. 401k package and it’s not stressful work. It’s rewarding. I’m 27 and will probably go back to school to work on my master’s but for now life’s good besides this little 3 year jump scare obsession kids have that distracts from teaching.
game theory might be the cringiest most digusting channel on youtube. I hope any kid that wears "theory" merch gets bullied to death.
>I hope any kid that wears "theory" merch gets bullied to death
but that's just a theory... a gayme theory
>Because I wanted to do something good with my life
but you just said you're a 6th grade english teacher
Hey guys Jaystation here. My girlfriend just died in a car crash so let’s honor her memory by liking and commenting this video and subscribing to my channel. With that out of the way let’s go out and see if we can find Sonic The Hedgehog, Bendy, Santa, and the tooth fairy!
Title of video: OMG met Santa for real! Not clickbait!
Old thing is not cool so it gets repackaged as a new thing.
>Anyone feel my pain?
No because I'm not a fucking retard that would willingly take a job that requires me to interact with kids every day.
The games are fine for the most part. I've played through both series and thought they were fun to play and a bit charming. The real issue both of them have is having autistic fanbases that do that deep lore AU fan theory ship bullshit at every minute detail in the game.
My little brother is autistic and he loves FNAF, Bendy and all those cheap jumpscare games.
Whatever happened to the autists who loved Pokémon and Sonic? Is that not cool anymore in the autistic community? Shit like pink guy and purple guy in FNAF. What’s the appeal of this guy? Why’s it need such deep lore from the fanbase? Look at it!!!! Well at least the creator gives away free funkopops to his fans who mail to him. I don’t blame the creator. I blame the autists.
Youtube is the problem
kids like edgy characters and feeling smart for knowing a lore that sounds deeper than it is.
See also DDLC and undertale.
Hey it’s me, 39 year old jewtuber xXxFNAFFanboy26_noscopezxXX. I take offense to you labeling FNAF as a cheap jump scare game. I’ll have you know my viewership has gone up in the millions every time I post a FNAF game. It has a great art style and is totally original. It’s not for kids so pls stop.
This, my wife's son (5 years old) is obsessed with this shit because it's youtube clickbait at its finest
Undertale kinda died off. The creator didn’t milk it as much as he could have. He released the sequel game for free and moved on to do other projects. He even flew to Japan to help Gamefreak. Undertale at least had some interactive elements unlike a game where you control security cameras. Plus the music.
>I'm a 6th grade english teacher
>that browses Zig Forums
I wouldnt let my daughter near you you disgusting creep
Because even the Pokemon and Sonic fanbases are starting to hate the main series. Sonic is barely scraping by with love from fans with mostly Mania doing the heavy lifting that Forces decided to fuck up on. Pokemon had people being retarded on Zig Forums and Twitter about how some Pokemon were cut from a baby game, so that's still alive and well.
For FNAF though, I think it's just an odd mix of Youtubers coming into a series that was meant to be more serious and exposing an unprepared audience to it. FNAF 1 was serious in what it had for the story, not a whole lot was confusing, and a lot of it was actually left open for people to think on. Once the series got popular though and everyone dug into it, you got to keep up that momentum which just caused a load more 'deep lore' bullshit to come about that even Scott had trouble keeping up with. It's not as high as it was back with FNAF 2 and 3, but the lore bullshit has definitely left a mark on the series as a whole.
>if I wanted to be scared, I’d turn to Resident Evil series
wh
>hates kids
>wants to do something good with his life
>becomes a glorified babysitter
What did OP mean by this?
>pre-teens love "dark" and "edgy" shit
Wow, I am utterly shocked.
Don’t worry. I wouldn’t let my students anywhere near you.
How’s it feel being on the unemployment line during the COVID-19 crisis?
