Hatred is 5 years old, say something nice about it

I still have it installed. The game is pretty fun on its own with a unique art style, but I found even story mode kind of hard. Maybe it's just because I haven't played many twin-stick shooters. Mods add to the game in some sweet ways. The only thing I didn't like was vehicles.

The only reason people have a damn about this game was because of the 2edgy4u trailer and when it got pulled from Steam Greenlight for being "too violent". I personally think the violence aspect is overrated, Vermintide 2 is more gory than Hatred and you don't see anybody complaining about that game.

When's the Switch port coming?

I honestly liked it. It basically took "get 5 stars in GTA and try to survive" and turned it into an actual game. It was pretty good at creating this sense of constantly ramping tension where you always needed to stay one step ahead of the increasingly bigger wave of cops hunting you down, and the levels were large and detailed enough that you had a lot of options for jukeing and escaping the cops. I also liked how killing civilians was the only way you could gain back health but doing that would also build heat, so you had to fit it into your broader strategy of not getting ambushed and wiped out.

It's a bummer that it ended up becoming this bullshit symbol for "sticking it to the SJWs" because the game itself is actually fun on its own merits.

The devs saw the opportunity to market based on the commotion and they took it. I hope they focus on making a better game next time

the devs made what they wanted
all the nonsense surrounding it and attacking the game on Zig Forums proved this shithole was beyond saving and most posters are idiots

I legit know the devs, game was a cashgrab. A bunch of friends decided that they want to have game studio. One of them had rich parents so he literally took small loan of million złotych to fund it. Then they made controversial game to become quickly famous. Game was a success and they can now make what they like, like strategy games.
