They made yakuza sake instead of something cool

Nothing, WE don't cave into any demands, boy.

Holy fucking— BASED!

We'll find out in 3 days if they can redeem themselves and rise from their grave.

Sega could:
>Make a more Powerful switch with current gen graphics, all games run at 720p 60fps MINIMUM has Super Amoled display.

OR

>Release Saturn and Dreamcast mini

Either way I'd be happy

Nothing.

Not making more Sakura Taisen games!

A lot. We'll be here all day.

So is that Sega Xbox rumour dead?

America.

Sega has always been a legitimately retarded company. It's a miracle that they managed to go as far as they did

>what went wrong?
You mean all the ways they fucked up in the past?

Attached: Nakayama vs Kalinske.gif (287x232, 9.96K)

007, YOU are retarded.

They do have a history of horrible decisions. Want a quick list?
>Nakayama gets scared of the Atari Jaguar, makes the 32X happen
>Sony offers partnership for new console; SoA wants it but SoJ says no, Sony goes alone
>Silicon Graphics offers partnership for new console; SoA wants it but SoJ says no, Silicon Graphics goes to Nintendo
>SoJ makes overcomplicated design for Saturn, despite Kalinske's objections
>Nakayama forces rushed Saturn release, despite Kalinske's objections; angers retailers, crushed by Sony the same day
>Stolar takes over, annoys third-parties, refuses to release 2D Saturn games in US
>Stolar launches the Dreamcast too cheap, so they actually lose a ton of money on a very successful launch

Hot dam, what was SoJ smoking? Stolar deserves some knock back as well.

VR apperently

Nothing. Everything went so, so right.

>refuses to release 2D Saturn games in US
This was actually a reasonable decision at the time unfortunately. People were genuinely convinced that 3D was better than 2D and that 2D games were stuck in the past. Saturn was only good at 2D games, so focusing on 3D games was the best damage control they could do to save a doomed console.

BASED

I genuinely believe the world would be a better place had Sega not flubbed so much in the 90's.

Stolar effectively killed the saturn when it mattered most. The decisions made before him were bad but his actions sealed segas fate.

I think the Saturn fucked them the most. Insanely expensive when video games were still considered children's toys.

I think SoJ was just old Japanese business men not understanding the reality of the industry. To this day I still think Stolar was intentionally sabotaging though, no one can fuck up that much on purpose,

Way too costly of a decision even if it had merit. The west barely had any games on the console, the last thing you would want at to is purposely limit available content and still expect your fans to pay an asisine amount for your console. Sony during the early 7th Gen had a similar problem with devs not even bothering with a ps3 port.

Kalinske is a goddamn hero.

Wasn't Bernie Stolar a double agent for Sony?

Didn't Sony cave to having 2D games on their system because of Capcom? Wonder why Capcom didn't do the same for Sega?

They did but only in Japan

Yeah it was a horrible decision the west missed out on countless of localized ports like gunners Heaven and game compilations(which would have made sense since a new generation of people were now getting into games)

what didnt go wrong with segass

sega fanboy cope

Why she is so dumb

They must have done very well with the Master System and Mega Drive to have survived that. I feel like those mistakes are still fucking them over even today though

why do people mourn the demise of this particular company so much, i wonder if it's boomers and zoomers who make these threads every week

Can you explain who Nakayama, Kalinske and Stolar are?
