Sega's big announcement has nothing to do with Microsoft or Xbox.
Sega is set to release a VR device named Senses. This headset is a stand alone device that does not require a PC or console, that's powerful enough to run optimised games at 1080p 60fps by itself with 4 hours on a fully charged battery. The device also has a power box that allows for higher graphic settings when plugged in.
With the Basic Kit, Senses comes with the headset, two motion controllers, a USB-C charger cable and a small headset with a microphone for $350.
The Deluxe Kit includes everything from the Basic Kit, including the power box, wireless hdmi transmitter, one pack in title (either Sonic or Half-Life) and custom face plates for $400.
The device is set to launch on November 13th in Japan, and November 27th for Europe, Australia and North America.
