No, because the gameplay is trash

Does the Mona Lisa have good gameplay?
I wish i didn't have the PS2 version. It's a shit port
Why not pirate the remastered pc version? Literally runs 60 fps on my windows tablet, so I'd imagine it runs on just about anything.
Is the Mona Lisa a video game?
>Is the Mona Lisa a video game?
>implying only video games have gameplay
>get this on Gamecube
>enjoying it immensely
>reach the boss that's two businessmen throwing their brains at you
>you have to hit a minuscule part of their head during a 1-second animation to damage them
>try and fail for 3 hours
>look up strategies online
>"this boss is terrible and very tedious but you just have to push through it =)"
>ragequit
sorry
Just use KAEDE and zoom in. I beat it at 4 AM tripping on LSD. They are very difficult though, probably the second hardest fight in the game.
>not using Kaede
bro
There is plenty of time, just use Kaede and don't focus on the brains too much. Also you may have made the mistake I did, you have to shoot one of their ties and then you get plenty of time. You don't hit them when they tip their heads at you to shoot. It is still a tedious fight, but once you get through it the game gets even better.
Yes. In fact I think it might be the perfect video game. It’s both refined and barebones in every aspect, not an ounce of unnecessary fat on it.
I didn't have Kaede available for some reason. I think I fucked myself over on that run.
Is the PC port good?
The PC port is fine.
It could be that you didn't unlock her in Harman's Room. Every mission starts with all but the necessary Smith's (and usually Dan) locked. After a certain amount of kills you get to unlock them. Even then, on that level you should have Kevin unlocked, and Kevin has 0 waiver so it shouldn't be too hard to land hits.
>I didn't have Kaede available for some reason. I think I fucked myself over on that run.
Every level you need to kill a certain amount of enemies, then go to the TV to unlock the rest of the characters. Next time you can just reload a save and go unlock her.
>Is the PC port good?
Solid. Runs great on a potato or even a tablet. 4k 60fps is enabled. Didnt have any glitches and it played great with a controller. Definitely recommend at the very least giving it a pirate, if not buying it.
Who do you think was tougher, Ayame 2 or the two old guys?
>Also you may have made the mistake I did, you have to shoot one of their ties and then you get plenty of time.
The way the game tells you this is so obscure. Iwazaru makes an offhand comment about how "one of them has a crooked tie"
Ayame 2. The old guys were more of a puzzle, she was a battle of attrition.
Though Ulmeyda was the trickiest for me. Not because he was hard, but because I was scared shitless trying to hunt him down in that maze of sensory abuse.
Ayame 2 is harder on the harder difficulty
Old Guys are harder on the easier difficulties
Honestly none of the boss fights are particularly hard. Ayame 2 has a better chance to kill you, but by that point you should already have pretty decently honed reflexes for her.
What did he mean by this?
I only figured it out by accident, usually the game hand feeds you answers so I was surprised it was something so specific.
You're shooting their tie right? If you can't actually hit them you're just bad.
I mean that's entirely subjective right. But I don't think there will ever be a game like it. And it's one of the few games where the director was fully satisfied with every single piece of the game. It definitely reached a high level of art, but I wouldn't say it's the only one. I hope suss releases a the uncut version he talked about before.
Suda*
Started a second file on Killer8 just the other day after having beaten this game like 5 or 6 years ago. I dunno what the fuck happened but I don't remember enjoying it this much the first time around. Some enemies have been a real bitch without seeing weak points, though. Also, does blood vial count decrease in Killer8? Could've sworn you could have like 20 but it's 5 now.
That's where I finished last night. It is a tedious as hell fight if you don't use Kaede but even then you only have to land like 5 hits.
I dunno, the redundant quirks in dialogue can be a bit much considering you can't mash through it without skipping it wholesale. In terms of sheer gameplay though, I do agree with that.
>It definitely reached a high level of art, but I wouldn't say it's the only one.
What other game do you think does?
>e fuck happened but I don't remember enjoying it this much the first time around. Some enemies have been a real bitch without seeing weak points, though. Also, does blood vial count decrease in Killer8? Could've sworn you could have like 20 but it's 5 now.
Yup. American normal mode is 20 vials. I think in japan the max is like 50 or 99 vials.
Lisa, journey, and maybe sudas other visual novel games. Do you have others in mind user? I need more games to play.
I'd say Rez is probably the only other game that comes close to being art in the way that Killer7 is. If you can, play in VR.
Damn that looks gnarly as fuck
Not that user but ending E in Nier Automata and TWEWY's seamless synergy between its themes, aesthetics and mechanics stand to me as good examples of pushing video games as a medium into unique artistic territories. Both of these games actually take advantage of the fact that they are video games to make a greater impact. As far as story goes, one could point to Metal Gear Solid delving into similarly surreal sociopolitical narratives.
Its fucking amazing, I recommend not spoiling yourself to the later levels.
YOUR FUCKED
Still unsurpassed to this day
