What are some good video games for picking you up out of depression?
What are some good video games for picking you up out of depression?
if vidya can really do it for you, you're not actually depressed
Well I haven't found one that works yet so probably
Persona 3
Which version is the best?
user if you want to climb out of depression you need stop depending on video games to feel good
hunting in rdr2
turning off saves and killing all the black people in saint denis with shotguns
playing video games won’t solve you being depressed.
it’ll only delay it.
FES
Are all your graphics settings set to low? What are your specs?
>millions of people worldwide that actually suffer from depression relying on medicine
>one anonboi gets cured by vidya
I have literally nothing else in my life to fall back on
I have a gtx 970, so mostly everything is on low except textures because for some reason RDR2 on anything but Ultra textures makes everything absolutely god awful to look at
The game called "take anti-depressants and stop whining on Zig Forums you fucking tard"
I've taken at least half a dozen different types which don't work
>clinically depressed
>played vidya for my whole life just to escape the pain
>i can still feel the pain
even then my gps is around 30-40 most of the time
I'm trying to save off to get a 3060 or something when they release
Video games won't help with that.
Especially if you're directly using it as a form of escapism.
Is it physical pain? I feel like my chest is hollow.
The joke is that Persona 3 is centered around depression.
Start by changing that, dumb dumb
Oh okay
If you can afford it, pick up a VR set, and grab Beat Saber.
Moving around and getting some movement into your life is scientficially proven to improve mood a little bit. And even just changing the environment from your cramped room to a less cramped room can help with that. Won't cure the depression, but it'll give you some dopamine without forcing you to go outside or do boring old gym shit
Going outside. Out of a city and being alone in nature for an hour or two.
Ending your life can make the sadness go away.
Stop making these threads ffs
Play Animal Crossing IRL
Pick some trash up in your room and move stuff about. Take a vaccum and clean the underside of your vidya desk and behind your computers to clean the dust out. Rearrange your room for fun.
Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain, something you need to do something physical to alleviate. Most games probably won't help you get out of depression, only distract from it.
But then you upset the people around you. Imagine being the sorry motherfucker who has to find your body.
this but save the money and just do some jumping jacks or burpees (pushup from the knees if you can’t do full one)
video games aren't gonna pick you up, in fact if you’re browsing this board there’s a solid chance it’s partly the cause (overusing what once provided comfort will just make your mental state worse)
focus on building little bastions of stability and routine into your life. get up at the same time every day, eat a proper breakfast rich in protein and fat, take walks while listening to great music (video game ost if you like)
these are stepping stones to the only thing that will truly buffer you against the suffering and pain of life, having a skill or trade you can hone and develop that ia meaningful to YOU. you need a purpose, above all else, and as a nice by product you’ll sharpen up yourself at the same time, as well as build self respect (because you do things worthy of respect).
godspeed, OP, I love and believe in you
I may be severely mentally ill but at least I'm not a tripfag.
Exercise and eat healthier. Learn an instrument, like exercise you can constantly better yourself, and it's fun. Honestly staring at a flashing box isn't healthy at all.
this is truth. your mind is a part of your body, take care of it, treat yourself as someone valuable and worthy of respect, develop yourself, and you will be amazed at how far you can go.
Mega Man and Persona have helped me through hard times
good taste
good doujin
pain of existance
