Sleeping Dogs

I loved this game more than GTA 5

Story was great, I just felt like the h2h combat got repetitive after a while. Also the gunplay could've been polished.

Based

PORK BUN

The game has great atmosphere. It really makes you FEEL like a sleeping dog.
I thought the melee combat was fun in an Arkhamy sort of way but the driving and the shooting sucked.

Honestly most of the actual gameplay was pretty mediocre, it was just a fun world to get immersed in.

makes sense, Sleeping Dogs is the better game

Good point, i just always felt like they should've expanded Wei's moveset a little more.

SD has a better setting and story, V undoubtedly was the better game though.

I wish it was longer and had fun cheats. It was so good though.

I shall now dump a bunch fo screenshots I took during a recent playthrough as the game looks awesome.

the ONLY reason this game gets praise is because everyone is blinded by the godly setting its in. the gameplay itself was fucking shit. and I had to slog through the game to finish it. gotta give the developers props for making hong kong look awesome but everything from shooting to driving was terrible.

name 1 (one) game with Hong kong setting

I'm a shoot historian of Hong Kong and I was thinking about getting this game solely because of that. Is it worth it or is the game actually mediocre?

>YOU JUST DON'T FUCKING GET IT RAYMOND
>YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE OUT THERE

Hong Kong Massacre which is like Hotline Miami

It takes guts to wear that!

It's pretty rough around the edges but absolutely worth getting. Game has SOUL. It remains my favourite city sandbox game years later and I've replayed it multiple times.

It's a fun game imo and it usually goes on sale for 2 bucks on steam every couple of months. It's definitely a must play

Hong Kong 97

I'm going to miss Hong Kong being what it was
I mean, it peaked in the 90s but it still seemed like a pretty cool place until a few years ago
Actually, I wanted to see it myself someday but now it's another one on the list of shattered dreams

Like has already been said the gameplay itself is nothing revolutionary, but the world itself is great and it's totally worth it just to experience the atmosphere. There's a lot of effort put into making it look and sound like Hong Kong. It's not a soulless interchangable open world like most games.

The story is alright and the missions aren't offensively bad or anything. I enjoyed playing it.
