I think there are very few games in which the protagonist has even the slightest chance against Yamcha.
The man can blow up the moon, as has been previously mentioned, and can guard against attacks of equivalent power. He's far faster than is humanly possible and can punch with enough power to shatter mountains.

Goku is a dumbass that lets his guard down constantly tho because he's naive, the rest of the characters aren't like that. The only one who remotely is likely that is Vegeta and its more his pride and arrogance that gets him into shit. Yamcha's problem is he's just unlucky and runs into people stronger than him or just as strong. In this scenario, he's stronger than 90% of video game characters.
