I'm gonna dump some stuff I've built recently, criticism is appreciated

If I recall correctly the game tracks blocks you place compared to randomly generated terrain, so if any of those walls are "natural" they don't count for houses. Also what the hell is going on with your UI

you need granite bricks not raw granite around the house

If it's missing a wall, then you missed a wall. Did you place manually or did you use smart cursor (ctrl)? I don't know if smart cursor exists in the version you are using though.
If you placed manually, click ctrl and hold left click. It should autofill all empty spaces.
If that didn't work, go over all walls again, try to also place behind the walls of the house.
Also, what is that cyan circle in the wall?

if those are naturally occurring walls they're invalid
destroy them and replace them

He's probs playing the switch version

This is my most recent build, a shoddy cavetown, I would've built the houses from bone blocks but I didn't have a bone wand

>front of the chapel roof is at an angle to give it faux perspective
okay, sure, cool
>back is completely straight
absolutely disgusting

post your characters

You mean this part?
I've thought about making it angled but I've feared that it would look way too blocky (since you can't angle walls)
And I didn't have the mechanic for actuated stuff when I've built it

Finally this fucker is dead
Rod of discord really trivializes shit, doesn't it

>retro lighting
soul

>He's probs playing the switch version
But why? He's gonna miss out on all that 1.4 content the PC version just got

Even blocky would beat that weird mismatch with the front you got going on, it's a black mark on an otherwise really quaint design

hero shield

Do paints work on gemspark walls/blocks? I'm trying to find ways to add some ambient lighting effects without torches, so I was thinking the gemspark wall behind block thing could work well. The initial gem-base colors aren't ideal though and I have, for example, far more amber than the rest of the other gems combined due to it being so common from desert exploration.

How about now?

my autism is sated

>moonlord teleports to me
>get hit by him already in his beam animation
>instantly die
master mode is really testing me

iirc they don't
you can repaint them to be a different color, but the light will stay the same no matter what

What balance changes would you guys make if you had the power?
>Necromancer now charge up before attacking, and while they do their attacks' path is shown before being shot.

Ah, crap. Well, I might still be able to work around it anyway, using a dither pattern of walls to get some blended colors like cyan.

Unfuck the biome requirements for desert and snow being so high compared to the rest. Alternately, make appropriate backgrounds and bricks count for biome selection.

What is the best way to grind money for someone that does not want to make complicated farm?
I want to purify my world at some point and I did not make tunnels to isolate corruption.

not really a balance change but with all the shit in the game now I wish they would increase the size of chests again

>tfw smashed terraria 1.4 and decided to go back to tmodloader and play calameme again

honestly i don't get the hate for calamity, like yeah the "lore" and bosses are a bit edgy, but the music is good and to be completely honest the calamity bosses are better designed than vanilla ones in terms of actual fights (vanilla bosses are fucking bullshit and about 70% of the times I die feel like bullshit randomness, while with calamity if I die i feel like its because I could have done better). Also it just adds fuckloads to the game.

Honestly they should have made magic storage baseline.

Actual sensible and well implemented storage solution that lets you access your storage from anywhere once you beat moonlord.
