i was told this was pure action without the horror, i dont see it, theres plenty of horror, it's not that much different to DS2, still the weakest in the series but still a good game

People heavily over-exaggerate the differences between the games. See the Alien/Aliens comparisons with 1 and 2, despite 1 being far more of an action game than horror in it's own right.

I agree however the universal ammo and micro transactions are taxing on the final score I would say it's a solid 7/10 and that's being extremely generous I've probably put 250 hours in the game and still haven't beaten pure survival or hard core. I still enjoy my time solo or co op

I was pleasantly surprised playing this but did find the bits where you had to shoot humans shit. Plus the forced co-op aspect sucked too. Oh, and the universal ammo was plain silly. But the weapon mod system was cool and it's a shame the game didn't decide to go for a more 'The Thing' approach rather than Visceral bowing to their EA overlords and shoehorning so much shit in there.

This feels like one of those games where the devs did actually try but the publisher simply had too much sway.

Visceral was forced to. EA literally was squeezing dead space until it became resident evil
Two movies multiples books and comics plus the insane marketing for 2

the first part is great

Still on my backlog. I wonder if it's another RE6 where every retard told it me it sucked when it's actually amazing.

It's a solid game especially if you enjoy dead space 1 and 2 different=/=bad

re6 got a very cheap aspect, it's a bad resident evil but still a good game.

>it's a bad resident evil but still a good game.

You are exactly the kind of retard i was talking about.

resident evil games aren't supposed to feel cheap

I enjoy this game so much

8730 upside-down chairs?

Are you actually gonna elaborate or are you just gonna keep repeating the same meaningless buzzword?

i want dead space 4, with more advance leveling system and a more open space ship with lots of ways to go around

Would you also like it to feature ship building and resource farming? Or was I the only one

that would be cool, sad that EA dont make games like Dead space anymore

>still the weakest in the series but still a good game
No it's not. The upgrade system was completely fucked, the story was absolutely dreadful, shitty shoe-horned in co-op and the survival elements of the ice planet were barely utilised. It was a mess

They expected instant commercial success along the lines of halo or resident evil it just wasn't going to happen unfortunatly
I think it's mainly an image thing anyway EA wants to asspull huge amounts with their sports games and this kind of wasn't the direction that impresses banks for funding

>RE6 is amazing
How?

>The upgrade system was completely fucked
Whats fucked about it?

Microtransactions

You are right there is plenty of horror, horror over the butchering of characters and lore and there is nothing the player can do about it.

Not him
You could make stupidly powerful weapons very easyly, I beated the entire game using the exact same weapon and never feel the need to switch at any point
I didnt enjoy this game because the enemy diversity was worse than in Dead Space 2 and the love triangle was a fucking stupid idea for a horror game

Kek. What the fuck were they thinking cucking Isaac like that?

TURN IT OFF

>You could make stupidly powerful weapons very easyly
You can say same about first two. Like beating game with only plasma cutter that becomes op with upgrades

In terms of presentation it's great, basically every aspect of it is top notch. The game has a beautiful art style with the China sections in particular standing out. The cutscenes are really well directed, the animations are amazing, character models filled with detail like RE5. The voice acting is the best in the series with everyone giving it their all and selling even the silliest of things. Sound design as a whole is great, weapons, monsters and gore all sound great. The story is schlock kino which is what RE should be. All the characters are great, they have fun interactions with each other, there's conflict, there's mystery and it's all held together by the great presentation. Also it's told in an interesting way with the different campaigns intersecting each other.

The gameplay is even better than the presentation. It has by far the best control scheme and movement options i have ever seen in a TPS. It has the best and most varied enemies in the game, they look cool, are all very dynamic and fun to fight. It has wide variety of weapons all of which feel great to use and it finally got assault rifles right. It has a lot of different mechanics and technicalities in it's gameplay which are fun to discover and implement. It's a full fledged action game, the best compliment i can give.

RE6 only has one major drawback and that's that some of the setpieces are ridiculously strict whcih lead to cheap deaths. However these setpieces never change so it's a question of learning the patterns. So it's a persistent problem but it does definitely leave a smear on the first impression. Also it should have never have that trash waypoint system, it's best played with the HUD off and using the in game waypoint system instead. You can tell this was a suit decision at the last minute and i want to pull my hair out every time i join a game of some waypoint lapdog.

Probably filled with typos, not gonna bother proof reading it.

Already scrapping this post because the game unironically looked worse than 5
>The game has a beautiful art style with the China sections in particular standing out
The game looked bland as fuck. REmake still stands as having the best art direction in the series

lol you're funny

>enter some random coop game because I was bored
>find some guy who spoke spanish and nearly nothing of english
>most of the time he just muttered stuff in spanish
>but sometimes he'd make some attempt to communicate in broken english
>"yes yes here come good item. Shoot kill yes."
>we'd ironically scream at "scary" parts and start laughing afterwards
>everytime we saw Norton we'd start insulting him in our respective native languages
>I started trying to parrot the spanish insults, much to the guy's amusement
>"haha yes puto!"
>he in turn started trying to copy mine
>"SHITHEAD haha."
>a few hours later he muttered something inaudible and left the game
The game sucked but I at least got some good memories from it

micro transactions are only skins and salvage, none of which are required to complete the game

biggest mark against it for me was locking certain missions behind mandatory co op. otherwise it actually expanded on DS2 and is still a pretty slick action horror

The plasma cutter was OP in the first two games but I still feel the need to use other weapons like the pulse rifle, in dead space 3 once I unlocked the rivet gun every weapon became useless because it was so powerful and fast at the same time I could kill any enemy in just 2-4 shots
