Downloaded the first Towelket yesterday but I've yet to start, I'll probably do that today. Other than that I recently finished Black Souls, balance-wise it's kinda busted after I found Power Within and Heavy Soul Discharge but other than that it was a nice ride.

This might be the perfect time to ask this. Is there any way to make Yume 2kki run in fullscreen without the framerate being choppy on Windows 8.1? Also to not be stretched, the window size is just so small to deal with for me. I tried that "Another Fullscreen Mode" program and it works temporarily just to make the game go black randomly after a period of time with the game still technically running normally.

yeah I'm biased towards 2000 because that's where all my favorite games are. But I can acknowledge the strengths of VXA and MV.

I prefer Wolf RPG Editor games such as Mad Father, Misao, and The Strange Man series.
The most recent RPGMaker game I liked was Morimiya Middle School Shooting since it is an edgy action game. It is the sequel to Tag in the Hallway. I wish there was a patch so that you could read the letters in her room without understanding Kanji.

Recently tried playing moonLess and Hallucigenia but couldn't get either of them to work. Some moonrunes pop up about RPGmaker 2000 but I'e already got the RTP so I dunno what the issue is.

The only tip I can give without not knowing shit about the game is to not fuck up your database, because it will be hell to fix it when it's too late.

Nobody cares about the original RPG Maker engine and Violated Heroine and RyonaRPG are the only notable RPG Maker 2000 games

You are allowed to take their RTP music and use it in MV if you want. Also MV has remixes from 2000 and 2003.

Try to make it distinctive. I can spot OFF, Yume Nikki, 7th Stand User, Towelket, Hylics, etc. from just a thumbnail on here. If your game can be recognized at a glance, you're on a good track. Then, once your game can get attention at a glance, make sure the characters and setting are interesting enough to keep that attention.
