>not knuckles
>still shit FOV
Shit

Does this work with w7?

>Microsoft
Same kind of shit.

No, WMR was never backported.

>only option being manufactured by not jewbook

>oculus account
Only if you want the store.
>many features locked behind fb login
That you wouldn't use unless you were on facebook anyway.

the bigger issue is that facebook now has cameras in your home

>HP Reverb G2
Never heard of it, fairly certain no one else has either.
at this point I'm pretty sure the Rift S is going to be the first and last VR headset I ever own. If VR doesn't get its shit together this generation I'm not sure they ever will.

> If VR doesn't get its shit together this generation I'm not sure they ever will.
They won't, all resources are going to AR glasses now.

Are you a fucking child?

>Hey Mark, let's dedicate company money and break multiple laws by making our hardware spy on people. High risk, low gain! It's a great idea!

> low gain
Nice try, shill.

>>not knuckles
Oh no they might last more than a month, the horror.

Well yeah, what marketing info are they going to get from watching you wave your arms around or having a wank? Whose job is it to sort through the supposed millions of hours of video footage you think they're collecting?

Peel the tinfoil from your greasy head and start acting like an adult.

Are you a fucking idiot? Do you not comprehend the reach of Facebook's EULA?

>fairly certain no one else has either.
Except for the majority of the pc vr community
>Inb4 what community

will a Xeon E3-1241V3 with a 5700XT work?

doubt inside out is ever going to catch up to proper lightboxes

>no w7 support
>even if you argue win7 is past the supporting lifespan
>no w8 or 8.1 support
Yeah, into the trash.

>Whose job is it
>what is AI

that seems about 5% less powerful than the xeon in the recommended specs so i would go and say yes

Yandex(russian "google") uses lowpaid workers(0.01 dollar per bunch of requests) to correct listened via "Russian Alexa" voicelines right way or to find right answers on someone requests.
I remember there were news about Amazon Alexa personal data being handled on low-paid workers same way, basically training sample for AI.
So i won't be surprised if cameras/microphone being used in similar goals, as some kind "data to make future experience better"

The issue isn't whether it can match lighthouses, the issue will always be "Is the added convince a selling point?". Your controller will fall out of existence to the system if you hide it behind your back, sure, but can they make it unnoticeable gameplay wise. Because while light houses are guaranteed to be better, headset camera tracking is guaranteed to be way more consumer friendly.

Please highlight the part that says they have the rights to watch people without their knowledge? I'll wait.

That only works for text. AI can comprehend what a traffic light is through images.

It's already 90% there. The fact you can just plug and play with it makes it great for mainstream vr

As someone currently in a legal battle with his work because they blatantly decided to break the law in deciding how we get paid and went through with it despite my warnings, I'll let you in on a secret. Companies do shit that's not legal, especially when they're wide spread and hard to pin down to one jurisdiction. Especially in the tech industry where it can be hard to prove what code you can't see is doing.

Meh, rather wait for the next line up of things

Yeah, I don't really like talking to you people, every time I set foot in /vg/ it's kind of a horror show. I'm not sure how you celebrate being part of that community when I can't even stomach reading a single thread.

Show me where in the EULA it says they have the rights to watch people without their knowledge? I'll wait.

They don't need to say they're doing it anywhere. If anything that's just evidence of a crime they can commit otherwise evidence-less.

So no proof. Got it.

I acknowledge that Facebook is scummy with it's data but it's volunteered data people entered on their website. Going onto somebody's computer and peeking at their cameras is something else entirely.
