Clubhouse Games

Holy shit hare and hounds is beyond unbalanced. So easy to sweep the AI when playing as hare since you just can just move back and forth to pressure them on turn number.

What games have you guys enjoyed the most so far? I haven't played online yet, but the AI is very hit or miss. Chess is very easy to get to impossible difficulty while reversi I can't even beat on normal

is it safe to lay your Switch flat like that while playing as advertised in the game's title page? won't that impede ventilation?

Hanafuda is beyond retarded. 100% a game of luck. Which is a shame because I love the cards.

Should be fine I think, main vent is on top.

main vent exhaust is at the top (or side when laying flat like that), so no.

vent is on top

dominos too i'll get maybe two hands per game where i actually have a choice of what to play, basically pure luck

Just out of curiosity then, what are these vents for?

those are speakers

Playing President with the homies online is pretty based. Great compilation

why are speakers on the back

Probably same as the ones on top just less strong

I never knew Hanafuda was actually so fun...

very little air ventilates out of them - possibly they're used only when docked.

koi koi?

HOW DO YOU BEAT 4 SUITS SPIDER SOLITAIRE
BROS I'VE PUT HOURS IN IT AAAAAAAAAAA

Literally what I did earlier. My strategy so far, although it hasn't worked in 20 tries, just make stacks when possible and always make sure to stack in suits where possible. Other than that, ive no idea

How can someone miss the point of the game so badly?

I don't want to stack on different suits too much, because untangling it after is a mess if you aren't lucky enough to free up 2 spaces.
The fact that a spider solitaire pro can win 50% of their games blows my mind, I thought this would be a free completion. Fuck

holy fuck i'd never played backgammon before, turns out its the most boring shit ever

I think I've only ever played two games with a standard deck so I just used this release as an excuse to list all the games included across the DS and Switch versions so I can learn them some day (except for most of the copyrighted board games and sized-down versions of sports).
I got a deck of them from Nintendo NYC years ago, I think they were also sold on Club Nintendo. They do have pretty designs and included instructions on how to play koi-koi but I never tried it.

Have you gotten the gist of mahjong yet?

Of course, I'm training for Evo.

I did when they released Mahjong Soul, Shogi on the other hand is hell

I feel you, thank fuck for Minishogi

i understand it conceptually from mahjong soul and yakuza, but never got good enough to memorize the finishers so it makes the game really drag when i'm just checking the sheet constantly

WHERE MY DOTS AND BOXES BROS AT?!?

>Play the demo just for fun.
>President can be lost even if you're leading most of the game.
>AI seems to always have 8s, 3 of Spades, 2s, and triples while you have singles or only doubles and multiple 4s at best.
>Decide to play dominoes.
>Everything feels entirely random even after having checked the rules.
At least slot cars and connect four are fine, I really like the presentation. But holy crap who made President? It's the most unfun card game I have ever played in my life. Even Speed is more fun.

Speed and president are both fun, yeah its rng but who the fuck cares you autists

>There are people shitting on this game because they don't understand how to play Hanafuda

his review is just "i wish the game was that"

brb winning every Connect 4 game.

I've just been playing backgammon with my wife.
She beat me 6-1 yesterday and the day before.
I'm bad at backgammon.

How the fuck do you win hare and hounds as the hounds.
Even when it's a stalemate, the hare still wins.

>already bearing off pieces, have at least a few opponent pieces either trapped in my starting area or not even on the board
>think I've got this shit in the bag
>get some not great rolls, have to leave one exposed
>he rolls exactly what he needs to knock it off the board and by the time I finally get it back home he moved everything out of my home (and knocked that one piece back off the field multiple times in the process) and while I technically have a lead I'm drastically behind

I've been stuck for the past 90 minutes, but you can liberally abuse undo, work out various ways to unfold your pile before you even touch your deck (if your start over enough times for a good start I guess), and end the game to bookmark it for later.
Someone help me.
