3 physical cores and only a single gig of ram causing a slight bottleneck but it does the job

White rat = my Vega 64
Other rats = my 2500k

Got it for $80 in 2018 and not upgrading until next gen.

It's ridiculous how well this thing still holds up after 6 years.

>Had 980ti
>Ruined it trying to replace broken fans
>Downgraded because couldn't justify that kind of money again on a stagnant GPU cycle
RX580 has been keeping me in the triple-digit frames, does low-end VR well. Solid card

we've had a bunch of these threads lately haven't we
anyway I'm glad this little fella got pushed up to the level of other 5600xts with the vbios update, especially since I got it for relatively cheap
how's the 470 aging? Polaris is seemingly doing pretty well but I don't know how much of a difference there is going down from 580 to 480/570 to 470

I have the same one. What a good choise i made back in te day, still running like a dream

i got it on a fat sale for like $180 with DOOM 2016 included in late 2016. it had the reputation as the HOTTEST and LOUDEST card on the market and I took a chance. Finally starting to show its age, even at lower settings most games want more memory than this offers.

I play everything at medium or lower anyway because im a noise freak. i just got a big check and im trying to stop myself from buying a 5700 XT or 2060 Super right now since I'm still satisfied with my 480's performance. The temperature has been starting to jump up recently though.

5700XT is excellent. Just get the right model.
2060S is not worth these days, you can find 2070 for the same price

Yes I like throwing money away.

I have a base 2070 but I'll probably upgrade to a 2080s or 3080 whenever that comes out

I would get the Sapphire Nitro+ version, that's what my research leads me to, Sapphire dropped the ball on the 480 but from 580 onward they're king of the roost, MSi not too far off though. DLSS does look really compelling to me though and that's why I'm looking at the 2060 S.

But either way my gpu still does what I want so despite me wanting something shiny and new I feel like I can afford to wait til next year when games might actually be too much for it, if any games ever actually come out.

That one

Bought an RX 590 16 months ago and it has developed an annoying as fuck wail while idle while having horrible coil whine under any load. Next time I'm going nvidia.

Was a treat to myself, have it paired with a 3950x

does your suffer from coil whine? mine sounded like a fucking electric chair out of the box while playing anything demanding

>full 1080 performance
>is smol
>is refurb aftermarket chinkbrand
>runs flawlessly 3+ yrs on
how did they do it bros?

Not only did you throw away an unreal amount of money but you also effectively lowered the lifespan of your card for another year because that's how long it'll take before any of the features and strength of that card is fully used and optimized in vidya.

2070s after my 670 kicked it...

>he bought the 2000 series
>he didn't wait for the 3000 series.
imagine falling for nvidia's jewery when the next gen consoles are on the horizon.

not that user but mine has slight coil whine, doesn't help that i have a meshify case so sound comes through the top but it's not as bad as you describe

>he fell for the memeshitfy
>he didnt get the P400a

this bad boi

>didnt get the 6700k when it was $150+z170
>didnt sell the 2500k+mobo for $250 netting a $100 profit
only yourself to blame grandpa, enjoy your stuttering
