Only playing this and SSS in the M&L series I don't really recall having that much fun with PiT. Also funny how the only use of touch was one scene late in the game when that shit was otherwise hamfisted on all kinds of DS games.

What dumb fuck thought it was a great idea to release a remake of a game onto a console that could already play the original? Not to mention on a console that's on its way out, and think that it would be profitable enough to save the company?

So AlphaDream is dead, what happened to them?
Nintendo's stupid if they didn't pick up most of the employees.

Would have been cheaper than making a whole new engine for the switch maybe. Also, it was a DS game, and porting that over to the switch would have it's own set of difficulties, mainly the dual screen.

You know AlphaDream went bankrupt right? Because Nintendo forced them to pump out two remakes in a row and then couldn't be bothered to bail them out when they went into debt?

What if Nintendo made this remake in house? it still sounds completely absurd but it's somewhat possible

Pretty sure it was more Alphadream needed money so they decided to remake their best selling game which caused them to go bankrupt.

So how do you rank the games in this franchise? I played BiS a long time ago and had fun but never beat it.

Why even go to the effort of making these (surprisingly good) fakes when the console and the company that made these games are both dead?

Fawful having his own story in this game makes sense, since PiT is the one game where he has the least relevance.
Can’t tell if the backgrounds are changed, baby and Princess Shroob sprites look legit.
Kylie Koopa and Petey Piranha were in Dream Team and Paper Jam respectively so these could easily be fabricated.

I hate to admit it but I was a kid when it launched and got it at launch so I hold nostalgia for it, the idea of having twice the buttons and the dual partner mechanic was extremely novel, I still like BiS better. It's been a really long time so maybe if I played it again I wouldn't feel so fondly of it

Didn’t Nintendo file a trademark for Mario & Luigi back in January?

Using the koopa troop for special attacks was pretty fun. Bowser being the MC means you get to actually win battles after shitalking your opponent so that was cool too. Mario & Luigi section was pretty boring and the minigames get old pretty fucking fast.
I go SS>PiT>BiS. Only played DT once years ago and never finished PJ
