This patch would have to include the atrocious translation, useless level 4 limit break (when they are supposed to be the best) and a broken materia system that makes every character plays the same

The game is filled with so much fucking new bloat that is added for the sole purpose of stretching the game out so Midgar alone could be sold as a $60 game
As a result, you get a game that is a watered down fraction of what it originally was. People meme about the time jannies but its the least of the game's problems
Why should I care about reviews say when I've played the game myself and didn't like it

I wonder if Sephiroth is going to appear as the last boss in every part now. Wouldn't be surprised if hacks at Square Enix actually went for it.

On principle. You have this game that has been lauded since 1997 and has arguably aged pretty hard for the modern age. What better way to introduce a new generation and revitalize the interest of old fans than with a high budget remake? But then it turns out they went full retard and decided to make it a sequel and end on a massive cliffhanger.

There is literally nothing that happened in the Remake that needed AC or CC to explain though? The only thing remotely close is Zack's line at the end but the scene of him being killed outside Midgar was in the original, so the scene doesn't need explaining.

FFXIII trilogy was insanely popular in Japan compared to FFXIV and FF7-R, it just did jack shit globally.
