Absolutely, single player is probably the best FPS campaign I’ve ever played, it feels different to 2016 but that’s because it’s harder in terms of resource management and encounter design which forces you not to rely on cheesing everything with Siege Mode. Multiplayer is shit tho

yeah. It improved pretty much everything from the first game imo. The campaign is particularly good and the flavor text and little monologues are great. The music is of course first class.

It is pretty meh game. Got like 8 hours out of it, campaign+some collectable hunting before I just dropped it and never returned. Liked doom 2016 just fine, but this one didn't hook me. They did some denuvo anti-cheat bs while back that made me uninstall it permanently. Will not touch any bethesta property ever again thanks to the anti-cheat spyware bs.

It's significantly different from Doom 2016. Combat is more tactical - you have to use certain weapons against certain enemies, or in certain situations, or you'll struggle. The writing is both worse and more pushed in your face. I'd get it on sale, don't take a love of 2016's Doom as a guarantee you'll like Eternal.

because they were preparing the new update in making changes specifically to pvp, sometime the pvp was unplayable due to exploiters in the game cheating, that was the only reason it was added but now its gone for good and they learned there lesson

It doesn't apply at all because Eternal is casual rock paper scissors shit. It's only difficult if you play on the hardest difficulty and don't play the way it wants you to. Problem is that the intended gameplay loop isn't fucking fun compared to the constant action from 2016.
