NG1 or Sigma 1? People bitch about it not being as good as black because of really silly reasons but sigma does nothing bad add content so
>really silly reasons
Like entire levels of playing as Rachel who controls like shit.
It ditched puzzles for spam square to climb!!! and some pretty whack boss fights. I didn't hate it because I love ninja gaiden but sigma was shit imo.
It's fine. As much as blackfags hate to admit it, it's basically the same core experience as black. Yeah, a lot of really minor shit was changed, a lot for better, some for worse, but honestly, the biggest thing that could be seen as a flaw or a pro was just the addition of rachel missions, and the removal of a LOT of backtracking.
It's a fine game, and totally worth playing if you can't play black, and even if you have played Black, I'd still try it out.
Sigma 2 on the other hand is a completely fucking different game from the normal version of II and should be avoided at all costs.
Adding bad content is worse than no content
>muh rachel
Literally only bad thing. It adds a lot of cool shit on the other hand
Biggest thing going against it is having to use a DS3.
What's wrong with sigma 2 again? All I remember is that the gore was severely downed down.
I'm playing this right now, mission 3 or something.
XYBY seems to annihilate everything, why would I use another combo. I've heard stuff about izuna drop but I haven't unlocked it yet.
>Literally only bad thing.
So what, should we pretend it isn't there? You're a fucking moron. The improvements are negligible and the extra forced content is shit.
Honestly, a lot of Ninja Gaiden Black fans piss me off. Not because they think black is better. I can understand thinking that. What pisses me off is the complete rejection that sigma 1 did literally ANYTHING better. No matter what evidence you bring up, somehow, it's always a worse choice, no matter what it is. Removing really repetitive backtracking that was a slog in Black? BAD! Adding a checkpoint after a long puzzle section before a boss? BAD! Adding extra fucking weapons? BAD!
They they say that Sigma made things easier because it added a potion or save statue here and there, and say that's shit, and then say that the fact that you don't start off with the nunchaku in the first level is bad because you suddenly can't cheese all the enemies really easily. it's complete fucking hypocrisy.
Both Black and Sigma have pros and flaws. Sigma fans generally accept this, and will usually even say that Black is a better experience overall, but Black fans will never fucking say a single positive thing about Sigma. It's just absurd.
Coming to PC Soon™

While Sigma 1 in generally was the same game with the same enemies in 98% of the game and stuff, Sigma 2 had a 100% different approach towards the whole thing and heavily reduced the amount of enemies by like 2/3rds, and gave them all 5 times as much health. Also, most blood and gore was removed and replaced with purple mist.
Likely this was done to avoid slowdown which was awful in II on the 360 (seriously, GARBAGE performannce), it completely fucked with the intention of what NGII was, and became a totally different and not nearly as fun experience. It wasn't a bad game, but it absolutely was NOT ninja gaiden II.
Let me put it this way. If you played Black, or Sigma 1, then you can say you've played ninja gaiden. Played one, you've basically played both. 99% of skills transferable and shit.
If you've played II, or Sigma 2, then you've played II, or Sigma 2. Not both. Completely different experienced. Kinda like Dead Rising VS Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop.
They do sound different but it seems like there's a bit of pro/cons there. If 360 really did have performance issues then why would I want to play it? especially when there's a million enemies. Less enemies with more health sounds arguably better
Once Black can be emulated in CXBX sigma will fall back to the wayside
It really isn't. NGII is not supposed to be like NG1, and the altered approach by a totally differnet director who completely fucked with the vision in a really bad way makes it not really the creators intended experience. It suffers from a LOT of various issues, not just what I've mentioned. The game was tampered with in a ton of really bad ways, like the upgrading system, and the fact that enemies were adjust to have throws take off about 95% of your health from a basic enemy, just because, you know, fuck you. Insta kill from nowhere. Enjoy!
Besides, II runs flawlessly on an xbox one x, and hell, runs mostly pretty well on an xbox one.
Unnecessary padding to dumb down the game is bad. This is coming from a former sonybot. Team Ninja can’t do NG for jackshit and it’s not because only of itagaki but the droves of other people that left during that time frame; which included people as far back as the NES devs
XQEMU will probably make it happen first.
FUCK chapter 11 on the vita. Whoever thought that aiming should depend on the console's inclination deserves to be fired. That X button to get out of aiming mode is also small as fuck, I'm getting hit by the helicopter's rockets by the time I get to press it.
Is NG2 even good in the first place
hardware gimmick shouldn't be allowed in games like this, to this day i can't stand Ninja Gaiden: DS
NGII has flawless performance on Xbone X and very good performance on Xbone.
It's great, one of the best action games I've played.
The only extra weapon I remember is the dual swords. What other weapons were added?
I mean... they are TWO swords.
It's cool that they added them because I liked the dual swords in 2, but the recovery time in Sigma felt long compared to the Dragon Sword. I haven't played Sigma in years, so I could be mistaken; I remember not being impressed.
They were weird. Not a bad weapon by any means. I think they had more damage as a whole, and had like, several times more moves than any other weapon did, but yeah, recovery time was the main issue.
Is there any point to the overly long combos in NG? I like how shorter combos have obvious utility but holy fuck why is there a retarded amount of 5+ hit combos?
i fucking hate long combos in pretty much any game because i'm terrible at doing them
Did the bow aim control suck ass in black also?
You only need to know flying swallow
