There's a mod for that, luckily after 80~ hours or so I was able to remember everything. Also went back to playing a year later and I still remember. It must suck being a brainlet.

Lmao, I stopped playing for about a year and came back into it and could still remember what each item did. The only issue I had in that regard was not knowing how exactly items would interact with one another.

There's a gorillion items yes but all you have to do is remember the top 20 good ones (and the handful of bad ones that fuck over your run, like Bob's brain and soi milk). Everything in-between won't affect your run much.

I just downloaded a starting stat mod and set my tears to do double their starting damage. I know it's playing on easy mode but after 300 hours of playing the original/Rebirth combined I can't take another room filled with like 30 flies that I have to shoot 60 tears to clear

You literally just need to remember if an item is good or bad.
I play this game for the first time in like 5 years a couple months ago, I didnt recognize what any of the items were, but you just subconsciously remember what is okay to pick up, what is great to pick up, and what is shit to pick up.
Like over half the items fall into the latter category btw
