It wont fail, even if is a shitty game

Because like with every hyped up game, everyone has their own personal idealised vision of what it will look like. When the actual product is inevitably not the same as the one in their head, it is easier to write the whole thing off and convince yourself it's terrible rather than trying to reconcile your ideal version of the game with the actual one. Doing the latter requires you to accept the imperfection and disappointment which can be hard to do. Doing the former is easier in the short run but is probably not healthy.
