>return to those areas as little as possible afterwards
>dont gallop just trot everywhere
>finish all crime challenges
>once you hit arthurs diagnosis you stop robbing altogether and focus on doing the collectables and side missions you have left (start but dont finish hamishes missions)
>get arthurs length 10 beard and hair
>get max honor
>stop wearing arthurs hat
>start the final mission with arthur in his original clothes minus the hat
>choose to go with john
>when the epilogue is over visit the gangs graves from the first to die to the last
>100% the game at arthurs grave

Long hair is alright on Arthur but the max level beard is just fucking comedically bad.

I like to keep him with his default look. It’s how he is portrayed in all the trailers, screenshots, and mission replay screens. It’s not like the other characters drastically change their looks either.

I always stayed in positive honor too. There’s a reason you can’t get past a certain point until after the diagnosis. Too many people view the honor level as a “good/bad/karma” level, when it is literally “honor.” You can be a straight up piece of shit who kills everyone and robs everyone, inciting bad honor. Or you can still rob and kill when need be, but as an honorable criminal. It’s like the typical old west rules of shooting someone in the back or properly in a duel. You’re still killing someone, but in a duel is more “honorable” in a sense. Also worth mentioning that journal entries change depending whether your have good or bad honor. So I like to keep it in the positive.

But yeah, do everything as Arthur. The game was built around him. Helping John is the proper ending. And visiting Arthur’s grave to get that 100%, especially considering what the final cutscene is, makes so much sense.

Do it. The pain is what makes the epilogue that much more satisfying.

Boah, there are tons of little details like that. It's just making a detailed world and not everything has a conclusion. There are so many more mysteries and weird shit going on.
The most frustrating is the poster for the missing girl which apparently there is more to but nobody has found anything yet except some cut dialogue.

Not everything has to lead somewhere. They just threw in some weird stuff to make you wonder about because that's how Rockstar is.

There was no real way to heal from TB back then, it was a death sentence 99% of the time due to lack of antibiotics and even if you lived in a drier climate you’d just be delaying the inevitable.
